The studded leather bag appears to have been removed. I think I recall seeing it and I believe it was okay.

The photobucket pictures show an authentic bag.

Please read the Salearea Guides posted at Ebay, at least the Guide about Coach serial numbers, for information about "overstamping" lines:

If there's actually an Ebay seller named Hyacinth, that's not me, sorry! I don't sell or even buy under that name. :D

LOL, I realized after I posted that the guide was written for Salerea "fav seller" BY Hyacinth...sorry for the misunderstanding ;)
HAVE A FANTASTIC DAY!!!!

By the way the scribble tote Hyacinth mentioned, was removed by listia. thank you! :)

Fake Scribble bag, fake style, trim color, wrong color hardware. BAD ripoff of a Scribble Stitch style:
http://www.listia.com/auction/5086014-coach-bag

The seller relisted the fake Scribble Bag. Since the seller was apparently told the bag wasn't authentic and is still trying to sell or trade it, she's now in violation of the Lanham Act:

"a) Offenses.— Whoever intentionally—
(1) traffics in goods or services and knowingly uses a counterfeit mark on or in connection with such goods or services,
(2) traffics in labels, patches, stickers, wrappers, badges, emblems, medallions, charms, boxes, containers, cans, cases, hangtags, documentation, or packaging of any type or nature, knowing that a counterfeit mark has been applied thereto, the use of which is likely to cause confusion, to cause mistake, or to deceive, or
(3) traffics in goods or services knowing that such good or service is a counterfeit military good or service the use, malfunction, or failure of which is likely to cause serious bodily injury or death, the disclosure of classified information, impairment of combat operations, or other significant harm to a combat operation, a member of the Armed Forces, or to national security,
or attempts or conspires to violate any of paragraphs (1) through (3) shall be punished as provided in subsection (b).
(b) Penalties.—
(1) In general.— Whoever commits an offense under subsection (a)—
(A) if an individual, shall be fined not more than $2,000,000 or imprisoned not more than 10 years, or both, and, if a person other than an individual, shall be fined not more than $5,000,000; and

No, Hyacinth, the listing was NOT removed the second time. I think you're looking at the link to the original listing.

Here's the current listing that was reported about 4 hours ago and is still up and running. So much for "trusted reporters" flags getting priority treatment. :(
http://www.listia.com/auction/5117693-coach-bag

And here's an example of why CluelessinWA's request that we comment and flag the listing doesn't work. (This happens to be a fake Prada bag, but I've been told that the poster who commented is blocked. That person can no longer flag the seller's items or even search them.)
The seller is xo143xo and instead of ending her own listing (which would have been the right thing to do, she hid the comment and blocked the commenter.)

Here is the listing for the studded leather bag. It's authentic.

Here's another Listia listing. It was posted and reported nearly 24 hours ago.

Based on Clueless's assurance that if the item is confirmed as fake, it would be removed, however, based on another mod's comment, that doesn't appear to be what is happening.

Listia fake: http://www.listia.com/auction/5112433-coach-signature-monogram-wallet
Seller: battybetty

Note thatbattybetty already had a different fake posted here which has been since removed: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-shopping/authenticate-this-coach-694619-806.html#post22275944

In the current listing, note that "Moderator Camila" made the following post AFTER two other posters commented on the wallet being counterfeit.
Hello everyone,
The authenticity of the items in auctions are longer determined by a Listia moderator. It is up to the seller to accurately represent the item and the bidders to research what they’re bidding on. That way, everyone is fully aware of what they’re getting and not getting. Please check out the sources below to help you determine whether you want to participate in this auction or not. Fake items are not allowed to be listed, per our site's rules.

Sellers should clearly market their items to get the best auction results, and bidders should do their homework first. As in most things in life, buyer beware.

Here is a website that may help you in your research, or you may want to contact the manufacturer directly for assistance. This is being provided as a courtesy only and we cannot vouch for the accuracy of the information provided by others.

Thanks and good luck to the seller and bidders alike!

This is the type of thing that frustrates those who give of their OWN FREE TIME AND KNOWLEDGE to help authenticate. We expect nothing in return except that our reports are acted on. And that's not happening.

Yep, the fake Scribble keeps re-appearing but any time I try to Comment on the listing page I get "Invalid request" so maybe I'm blocked. The POS fake still seems to be there - clicking on the seller's name still brings up the listing.

SORRY, LISTIA - IF OTHER MEMBERS CAN'T POST A WARNING IN THE LISTING THAT THE BAG IS FAKE, AND IF THERE'S NO DIRECT WAY TO REPORT A FAKE ITEM TO THE MODS, THEN WE'RE PRETTY MUCH BACK TO SQUARE ONE.

There will be NO further Listia authentications from me until they take full control of the situation.

Good for you! I'm glad you made this decision Hyacinth.

The bag in the Photobucket photos is called a Penelope Demi, made in 2001.

I had an ongoing debate with another commenter regarding the name...her quote..."Seller, this is NOT Penelope. Penelope is very recent but your item is from 2001. Penelope wasn't even thought of 11 years ago. Your bag is from the Hamptons collection."

I knew it was a Penelope as the person I brought it from said it was from the anniversary collection.

Thanks ever so much! #feelvindicatedandauthenticated!

Actually, the person who commented on the collection of your item was correct. If you'd be so kind as to post a link, it will be confirmed.

Penelope was NOT around 11 years ago (in 2001). Sorry, you aren'tvindicatedyet.

This was the item, though this isn't your listia listing, but instead, where you're selling it somewhere else. It's NOT penelope.

Thank you so much! I wish listia would get this matter resolved. I am surprised any responsible business would say what they wont do to help the consumer especially when we are spending money on their site.
