That usually means the bag was originally in the inventory of one of the full-price stores, but was sent to the outlet, maybe as a return or as discontinued stock. But those marks CAN be faked, they don't prove the bag is genuine.

There's no proof that the top photo is of the same bag as the bottom two. But I don't see any obvious problems. WHY does she think it's fake?

You're not bugging me! I'm glad if I can help in a small way.

#1. I don't know that bag and I don't see a creed photo or a style number. I doubt it's a Cashin design, though I could be wrong. I'll bet Hyacinth knows!

#2. It's the Basic Bag/Zippered Clutch (style 9455) which I *think* has been around since about 1974. I have an email from the Cashin Foundation that says Bonnie was the sole designer for Coach from 1962 to 1974. If both of those things are accurate, I think the Basic Bag would almost have to be a Cashin design. Can't prove it, though.

That bag was made later than 1974, so IF it's her design it was made after she left Coach.

Coach is still making that bag, though the strap is different than the older ones.

Thank you very much! Your part is huge....keeps me from spending hard earned money on a replica!! I think I am going to go for the black bag even though it is not a Cashin. (I emailed seller for the creed number). I love the leather and the look of the bag. So, thank you for all your help! I am going to keep looking for the "just right" Cashin though.....

Help with a new bag I purchased! It looks ok to me but its PVC and its my first one so i want to be sure. I'm also new on here and using my iPod I understand you need pictures I'll probably have to use my computer since it asks for a URL and I can't just copy and paste.

VERY BAD FAKE. Cheaply made, cheap fabric that looks like the Cs are just printed or stamped on instead of woven in. The Coach logos are both wrong and so is the pattern. Get your money back.

And please from now on, ask here BEFORE you buy.
