hope all is well with you ladies. Mind having a look at the following...
Item: beige/natural looks like a Station Bag

Comments: I thought that the creed stamp was on the pocket on the inside, the main part of the bag, but this one looks like it's on the exterior, on the inside of the outside pocket... does that make any sense?! lol! oh boy, time for bed!!
thanks ladies!

There were one or two vintage styles where the creed was stamped inside the outer pocket but only because the style didn't have any pocket on the inside. I've never seen it done in a Station Bag before. It's impossible to tell from the photos if it might just be a production mistake. Older Coaches were very easy to fake, and plenty of older bags had mistakes. Too bad the third photo is taken from such a close position, I'd like to see that same angle but including the entire bag in the photo.

The "ebay oddities" thread bag/seller/denial of picture of creed http://forum.purseblog.com/ebay-forum/ebay-oddities-758824.html
Also eBay item # is 261049898127

The bag may be genuine but without a creed photo there's no way to be sure. And any seller who doesn't know that HUNDREDS of bags made in that same style will have identical serial numbers is a fool and doesn't deserve your business.

Anyone who refuses to show a photo of the creed and serial number can't be trusted. Most of the other 7 Ebay sellers with the same bag don't seem to have a problem with it.

hi Hyacinth,
I'll contact the seller, see if I can get a repeat of the third photo, just at a wider angle...
thanks, I'll resubmit my query when/if I get a photo..

I would SWEAR I saw one in this thread once, I just wouldn't know how to search to find it. It could even be the same bag be resold.

Anything's possible. The creed stamp itself seems right, but if a really good counterfeiter were to copy it and the bags perfectly, we'd probably never know it was fake. :D

The bag seems to be genuine.

I have NO idea what color hardware was available. The regular posters at the main Coach forum would be the ones to ask.

Comments: 1. Is this authentic? 2. Does anyone know if such large brooke bags in white/ivory/cream also come with gold hardware?

Comments: Is this authentic? I'm on the hunt for a Bonnie Cashin. Thank you very very much for all your help.

I have that bag and I did send photos of it to the Cashin Foundation back in 2007.

I was told it is NOT a Cashin design. It is vintage (later 1970's) and it's the Coach Watermelon Tote.

:smile1:

Thank You very much! Oh well, I will keep hunting but might just have to get this one it is so nice! I love the leathers of the older Coach bags.

You're welcome. It's sometimes hard to find a Cashin designed Coach. If you search the words "Coach Cashin" right now on ebay, there are approximately 120+ listed with Cashin's name in the title. However, only about 16 or so are actually Cashin's design.

Some sellers think she designed everything Coach ever made.

:smile1:

Posting for a friend, she seems to think this bag is fake, but the pic shows that it is in the store (or what looks like the store). So IDK. What is ya'lls take???
