Good morning Ladies,

Is this authentic?

Item: Coach Patent Lthr Signat Bear Coin Purse 61104
Listing: 300724243983
Seller: beamer 1994
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-PATEN...H_Handbags&hash=item46048fce0f#ht_4930wt_1128

Was this a Boutique item or a Factory one?

When was it in stores?

Thank you very much,

It's genuine, I have the same one. I think it must have been available about 6 or 8 months ago, and in the Factory Outlet stores only. Coach has been making quite a few new styles in coin purses and various accessories just for the Factory stores.

That's the Shoulder Pouch, the other Lightweight bag that was described in the Rehab thread. Style number was 4025.

Some Lightweights/Sohos had creeds that said "Made in U.S.A." but that has shown up on fakes too. It's always a good idea to be careful.

I should have asked if there's a way to tell how old she is?

Hi. Any thoughts on this kind of bag? :

Thanks so much!

Did you already buy this, or is it for sale somewhere? We need to see the seller or the website, it's odd that there aren't any others for sale on legitimate websites. And there aren't even any posts about it here at tPF, which is really strange. Much of the websites are translated from Chinese.

IT.GIRL, have you seen this style before? The only place I can find it is Google, and none of them look like genuine sites. The fakes sites are calling it a Poppy Sophia, and the strap and leather trim details ARE like the Sophias. Why would a Poppy be using details from a Sophia? Almost all Poppies have soft straps and none have those strappy bits of trim at the top. I also went through the 6 months of the Wayback Machine following the October 2010 date on the creed patch and there's nothing similar. There are some Poppys from later in 2011 with the same graphics on the bottom but none with a top like a Sophia Tote. And Coach almost never mixes details from 2 different lines.

I DON'T have a good feeling about this one.

Doesn't look too bad to me. Also, not a station bag but Willis? I've been attracted to the non standard blacks, browns and blues.. I know there are auction snipers out there, and I'm not good at that, but if this is real, I might actually watch it the last 2 minutes.. The creed isn't the easiest to read, so I'm going to ask for a better picture if possible.

Thoughts?

You're wise to ask about this bag style. I am glad it is real. I bought an identical one that was faked and it was a GOOD fake. It's hard to fool me the longer I buy vintage bags, but my one black version of this one did fool me.

I do remember from many readings that the style was faked a lot. And I must admit, I've touched quite a few of the fakes myself. This felt very different, which was what made me give it a second, third, and fourth look! I held onto it while I used my phone's ever-so-slow internet to search TPF, and that's when I found katev's OLD post about what was a fake one. With the magnetic snap description, I felt much better about it, but there's nothing like an actual confirmation from our lady pros here

I am no expert like some the gurus here, but I know that is a vintage city bag; I guess my concern would be the extra '0' in front of 9790 with that being said, I know Coach brought some of the vintage bags back maybe with the 09790?

I'm interested in their thoughts...

I had similar bag like that years ago, it didnt have a flap but it had a pocket about halfway around the bag. It was cute, I didnt carry it much I never felt it closed tight enough. My sister ruined it though, she got caught on something and ripped the pocket, not on seam, but across the leather...:nogood:

I'm new so I will defer, but I think its a good one...

I am trying to understand the difference. I read somewhere that the words on the tag shouldn't have gap(?) But this one there's gaps between the word Cowhide. Otherwise the leather looks good? Thanks!

There are gaps because Coach doesn't like dividing words between 2 lines and having to use hyphens. There are NO rules about gaps in the creed wording as long as they make sense in the context of basic punctuation rules.

Please, wherever you're finding these Rules, 95 percent of them can be ignored because they're just plain wrong.

The bag was made in 2011, btw.

As I said in the previous answer, it's a modern City Bag made in 2011. Not vintage, and there's no problem with the zero - newer creed stamps are designed to have at least a 5-digit style number so a zero has to be added to the 4-digit "original" style numbers when Coach uses them.

And it's NOT one of the ones they "brought back", those are made of a much lighter leather. About a dozen of the older leather and early Signature bags never left, they've been available straight through from the time they were originally made.

The new remakes are called "classics" by Coach, the ones that have been in production since they were originally made 10 or 15 or 20 years ago are called "originals" and you can always find them on Coach's website by using that search term.

It seems to be real. Coach did some bags in Loden in 1998, the Willis may have been one. Yes, it's a Willis.

OK, I got this one-sorry it's been in my watch list for about a week...bless those sellers who don't know what they're listing. I can't tell you how many green Willis I saw listed that were actually station bags.

Late night request.....Could you authenticate this for me? I don't know the potential real name? Bonnie Cashin Box clutch?? There is no style number under the creed. The little metal gromets at the bottom of the frame have a "B". As you can see in the last picture the owner cut the long straps and tied them together!!

Thank you for your time!
