The bag pictured is authentic...but NOT vintage. It's a "Bonnie's Legacy Bucket" and it was made in 2000.

I think that Coach tried to pay tribute to Bonnie Cashin with that bag and a few others.

Make sure that the bag pictured is the bag you are buying

:smile1:

Thank you thank you! I suspected as much about the "vintage" verbiage, but I was guessing late 1990's. I will meet her in person to verify the bag before purchasing, and then it's on to rehab! I liked the color - we'll see how true to life the photos are... :-)

Ladies I need your experience again...I don't know much about this bag. I do know that it looks like a Coach, feels like a Coach (stitch tight and strong, Canvas thick and strong, leather thick and strong, raised coach tag), but with no serial number on the creed I can't investigate to see if the serial number at least matches the style of the bag. It is black on black with gold/brass hardware. Anything you can tell me about style or anything else would be appreciated.
Measurements: approximately 9" x 6" x 4" deep. 7" shoulder drop.

It looks like a genuine Carly Sig Top Handle Pouch, style 40347. Often Pouches don't have serial numbers or even creed patches. Here's Coach's photo of that style

Good morning Ladies,

Is this authentic?

Item: Coach Patent Lthr Signat Bear Coin Purse 61104
Listing: 300724243983
Seller: beamer 1994
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-PATENT-LEATHER-SIGNATURE-BEAR-COIN-PURSE-611-4-NWTA-/300724243983?pt=US_CSA_WH_Handbags&hash=item46048fce0f#ht_4930wt_1128

Was this a Boutique item or a Factory one?

When was it in stores?

Thank you very much,

It's so cute!! It looks ok to me. I don't have any details about it though, sorry.

I've always loved this style. I took a chance on her --even though I've never seen IRL this shorted "USA" creed before. I think I remember someone in the rehab thread authenticating another bag saying this, and that's the only reason I bought her. She's flat and floppy- so hard to measure, but basically she's about 10" H x 11" W x 5" D

And I love those neat pockets inside, kind of like the Whitney has with the back deep pocket.

Orange Ergo Mini Hobo?
approximate size: 9.5" at widest, 12.5" from base to top of handle, 2.25" deep

Please help authenticate! At first touch, the feel of the leather made me go "this has got to be real".. but that doesn't mean a lot :p I saw that post of katev's about a navy one, but can no longer access the photos. That made me look at the magnetic snap, though, and I took a picture of the markings. Not sure what else to take pictures of - there aren't a whole lot of features!
The bag is pretty dirty, obviously well-used, but the leather is still pretty darn good. At $4.25, it wasn't cheap for a risky buy, but I went with it anyway because of the color.

You're wise to ask about this bag style. I am glad it is real. I bought an identical one that was faked and it was a GOOD fake. It's hard to fool me the longer I buy vintage bags, but my one black version of this one did fool me.

That's the Shoulder Pouch, the other Lightweight bag that was described in the Rehab thread. Style number was 4025.

Some Lightweights/Sohos had creeds that said "Made in U.S.A." but that has shown up on fakes too. It's always a good idea to be careful.

Yes!! thank you very much. My instincts felt like she was "real". But, you're right, it's good to know!! Funny how these drawstring bags have popped up a bit lately.
