The same red flags hold for luggage as they do for bags, everything you mentioned is a red flag. Luggage will always have serial numbers. And don't forget the creed that says the bag is made of cowhide.

:p I totally missed the cowhide on a jacquard bag. I think it's bedtime for bozo. I sent the seller a message before reporting it, in case she was unfamiliar with Coach. Karma and all that jazz, you know?

Can you tell me what this Coach 7807 be?and is it authentic? I cant see the number the number for sure.. think its 7807 could be 76 or 75
(its the one I thought was a Musette in an earlier question ... Now I think its the Carrier but the number is different... I don't doubt its Coach.. but.. I want to be sure)

Can't help with the first one.

I'm a little worried about the second one. The Coach logo on the creed is too high in the cartouche, it looks as if there should have been something under it. We've seen fakes where the word Leatherware is just barely visible in that position and looks as if it's almost completely worn off but the wear doesn't match the wear on the rest of the creed. And the waviness on the bottom edge of the creed margin is a bit odd too. It also worries me that I can't find that style anywhere in my photo files. I can't be sure about that one, sorry.

If you read my other posts on serial numbers especially post 34 at the Answers to Authenticity Questions, I explain that bags made before 1994 (and that are all numbers and no letters) do NOT have the style number as part of the serial number. Neither serial number on either bag has any significance at all in telling what style it is. You might also want to read this Ebay guide about serial numbers:

And the style numbers for the Carrier and the Musette are 9800 and 9625. From the description the one in the auction is a Carrier Bag. I don't see any problems with it.
