Both look pretty safe, the second one has internal pictures, and the sellers are top-rated, but I thought I'd check in here before I clicked buy. Your opinions would be much appreciated!

IMO, both listings don't show red flags but need clear closeup pictures of the creed.

Listing #1 also should show a picture of the inside of the bag and listing #2 should show a closeup straight on pic of the horse and carriage plaque.

Could you please authenticate this Coach bag?
I paid $19.99 at Goodwill in 2008.
Approx. 13"w x 11"h x 2"d (when full?) Strap drop 21" to buckles
Does she have an official name...I've seen it called a Hippie Flap Hobo.
Style #9134 from 1999?

Comments: I'm kind of cheating, I have a Rambler's legacy at home that is identical to this. I don't have pix though. The Burgundy/Silver combination has always made me wonder, I had not seen it but I ran across this and another on Etsy that are Burgundy/Silver.

with what I would guess is a fake serial number: J8H-521

I know you can't authenticate MY bag using this auction. :) The bag I have at home is very good quality leather. I have a ton of the old NYC and USA bags. I would say the leather on this is comparable to my 2001 Stewardess, not as heavy as the older bags but still nice. It doesn't have a hangtag anyway and I will probably hang on to it if you decide think these two are fake, I'll just find a way to "deface" the creed in case I get hit by a bus and my daughter gets her hands on it. ;)

I'm a little worried that it's a brand-new seller but the bag itself looks ok. I think the actual color may be just a bit darker than the seller's photos since Raspberry is the only similar color in that style that I could find, and a similar bag was authenticated here about 2 years ago:

As you said, I can't authenticate yours without seeing it. Whether or not the silver hardware is ok depends on when the bag was made and for that I need to see the creed and the serial number. The bag in the auction listing is probably ok but serial numbers starting with J8Y- always need to be looked at carefully since many fakes as well as many genuine bags use that same prefix.

Looks ok - Hippie Flap Bag is the official name. There was also a Small HIppie Flap numbered 9135.

I'm a little concerned with the first seller's Feedback. She's just been accused of selling a fake, and while the Feedback was left by a Newbie who may possibly be uneducated about genuine Coach or just a plain scammer, it's something to keep in mind. Also the bag in the photos probably isn't the one you're bidding on since the same photos were used for one sold on the 15th and already received by the buyer who left Feedback on the 18th. So the current listing is impossible to authenticate. There's also another Negative Feedback from Feb 3 that might make me consider avoiding this seller although again, it may be just an attempt at scamming the seller for a partial refund.

I don't remember if that style has a creed patch, but if it does, we need to see it. Seeing the inside of the price tag would help too.
