Please authenticate this Coach Leatherware bag?
Bought it at Salvation Army in 2007 for $5.99 (still has tag on it!)
Approx. 9"h x 5"w x 1.5"d Strap drop 22"
Is it a Dinky Bag #9375?
Can you approximate its age and is bone an appropriate color guess (it's not white)?
Thanks in advance for any and all info!

Correct on both, age is tougher - some time from late 70s to 1987.

Item: Black Twill Tote (7446, Made in China in 2003)
Seller: Savers $10
Dimensions: 8.5” high, 13” wide, 7” deep (across the bottom)

Comments: I seem to be gathering quite a collection of twill Coach bags (and I am not even sure that I like them!) But it is intact and only $10 so of course I bought it. Please authenticate and, as always, I would appreciate any information you have about the bag. Let me know if you need more pics, thanks so much!

I wish there was something I could tell you, besides that it's genuine. There are quite a few Mercers I don't have any information on and that's one of them. When Coach expanded their lines and styles in the late 1990s a lot of them never made it into more than one or two catalogs, and I don't have anywhere near a complete catalog collection. The one open listing calls it a Mercer Bucket Tote so that will have to do as a temporary ID. :shrugs:

Unfortunately, this is a common response from sellers who are less-than forthright. Many of them even respond that the other listing stole their pictures.

You did absolutely nothing wrong and in questioning the bag, you did the smart thing. When pictures shown aren't the actual item, you have no way of knowing what to expect when you receive the item.

I don't know why but I messaged again & was too polite - I called it a possible "misunderstanding" which I know is actually them lying and said I don't feel comfortable & said we should cancel the transaction. Fair right? This person is mad now and determined to report me so I get an unpaid item strike, he thanked me for wasting his time, and then said he'll just wait the 4 days. If he cancels, isn't his time less wasted? I'm getting mad now, there must be some way I can report this, what happens when you don't pay - I get to explain at that point why I am not going to pay this liar right?

Need help to authenticate this item. It was given to me by a friend several years ago. It would be nice to know if it is an authentic coach handbag; the lining in the bag looks like polyester not silk ,so not sure of it's authentication. Your help is appreciated!:smile1:

I don't know the name for this bag.
style # on creed is : G06X-10398 (black)

This seller is dumb for trying to make you pay...here's what could happen (hypothetically) to him that would make him "waste" his time....you could pay, get the bag, file a SNAD...he gets one "mark" on account for the case open...then if he doesn't agree to take return, you could escalate & then he gets another "mark" for that...you return it & he has to give you $$ back...at that point you would not agree to a mutual cancellation so that he gets his FVF fees back AND leave him a negative FB...now THAT is wasting time!!

I have heard that ebay will remove a strike for NPB as a courtesy -- so I think you should call ebay CS & tell them why you didn't pay & get them to remove it. Hopefully others more experienced will chime in!

GL to you - I hope it all gets worked out!!

Item: COACH PAVE CRYSTAL BUTTERFLY CHARM KEYRING- BRAND NEW!

Comments: I haven't been around for a while because I was on ban, but this just screams fake to me, looks like franken-coach...

Coach NEVER made a keyring or purse charm like that. The dogleash clip isn't from Coach, Coach uses solid heavy jump rings, not that spiral kind. The hangtag looks fake - the opening looks much too big. And I could be wrong but don't remember a yellow and blue butterfly, but even if the charm is from an actual Coach piece the rest of it is completely fake and NOTHING else there was made by Coach.

Coach bags don't use silk linings. Wherever you heard that, it's incorrect. Please DON'T believe those "authenticity guides" you find on the internet, they're loaded with mistakes and just plain nonsense.

I don't have a record of the style name but the bag looks genuine.

Thanks you, I didn't mention that when my friend gave me the purse, I decided I didn't want it and gave it to my daughter. She is trying to clean out her closet and told me if I want it back. The bag is in excellent condition so I think I will take it back since she no longer wants it and never used it! I truly appreciate your help and glad to know that it looks genuine.:graucho:
