Well, at least you didn't overpay for it. And it's definitely not worth spending what it would cost you in fuel to go back and get a refund.

It's one of those fake serial numbers that no one is probably aware of unless they read and study the lists posted here and by another poster on Ebay, unfortunately. :sad:

Is this authentic? I know its a closed auction but I'm just curious because I had bid on it.

It seems ok but the squared rings at the ends of the straps aren't right. The rings look much too big, they're turned the wrong way and the leather strap ends and mounting tabs have either been compressed to fit the narrower area or are narrower than they should be. Here's a listing from a Trusted Seller that shows approximately the same year bag and clicking on one of the pics of the side of the bag hopefully will show what I mean.

The bag is probably genuine but the strap mounting hardware just isn't right and I don't think it's original to the bag. It also just LOOKS bad.

Hi, I've never posted before so I apologize if the format is wrong in any way. I need help telling if this black leather coach bag is real or not. I have no idea of the name of the bag or what year it was made. I bought it in a thrift store for a few dollars so I figured it was worth taking a chance :smile1:.
