The Compartment Zip looks like it has higher sides (i.e. the zipper is lower between the two sides.) It also only has a single compartment with a small zipper pocket. The pic you have of the Counter Top is exactly it! Is that really an odd name? (I personally think it is, but what do I know!?) So....yes, it's authentic? Just crazy? It's very clean; doesn't even look like it was used.

It looks authentic to me. I think maybe someone putting the website page together either just made a mistake, or someone at Coach misunderstood someone else's abbreviations or handwriting. :shrugs:

I think you're right. The name sounds like somebody was giving directions...like "that's the one on the top of the counter".

This is copied and pasted from the old website:

LEGACY TOP OF COUNTER COMPARTMENT
An everyday essential. With room enough to hold just what you need. Center zip and two open compartments. Inside zip pocket. 50 ½” adjustable strap. 8 ½ x 5 x 2 5/8.

LEGACY EAST/WEST COMPARTMENT
Sturdy and steadfast. A trim new take on tradition. Center zip and two open compartments. Inside zip pocket. 53” adjustable strap. 10 ¾ x 6 1/8 x 3 3/8.

Now THAT'S funny. Sometimes you just have to wonder what Coach was thinking. And I've never heard a purse called "steadfast" before - some new intern fresh out of uni must have come up with that name and description. :giggles:

Please don't assume that because you "can't find any information" - I'm assuming from Google - that something might be fake! Google should NEVER be used in authenticating Coach items, and neither should any kind of online "authenticity guides". Google is a search engine, not the Encyclopedia Brittanica, and older Coaches especially Made-For-Factory-Stores (MFF) items often don't show up in internet searches.

Try searching Ebay, NOT Google. There's an almost identical bag listed by an Ebay seller.

We'd still need to see the creed on yours but I don't see any problems that would make me thing it might be fake.

Thank you for pointing that out. It's funny because I actually did try searching Ebay and I didn't come up with the listing that you were able to find... I still can't come up with it when I search the style number! I must be doing something wrong!

Go to advanced search and search title and description.

Are you using the Advanced Search link? And checking the box that says "Search including... Title and Description"? If you do both you'll often find a lot more results than you would just by using the regular Search link. The Advanced link is near the top of your main Ebay Buying or Selling page.

ETA - I suppose I should check for BB's posts before I hit the Post button.

Oh, thank you - I didn't know how to do that!

Once you figure out the Advanced Search you can cover a lot more territory. And if you have a lot of Saved searches you can combine several different styles in one Search and save time and space. Read Ebay's instructions on using Advanced Search (if you can find them, their own search feature for looking up information in the Help section is one of the worst I've ever used).

For instance, say you're looking for either a Willis 9927 or a Station Bag 5130 but you don't want a black one:

coach (willis,station,9927,5130) -black -blk

Advanced Search link, enter keywords (multiple requests in parentheses separated by commas - no spaces between), exclude words from search, In This Category -Clothing Shoes & Accessories, Search Including - Title and description, plus however else you want to narrow it down from the choices farther down the page
http://desc.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_a...ct=&LH_SALE_CURRENCY=0&_sop=1&_dmd=1&_ipg=100

Once you figure it out, Searching for something specific gets a lot easier.

Wow! I didn't know all those comma/parentheses tricks to do multiple searches in one search!

Thank you Hyacinth!

Hey Everyone,

I have three needing authentication. Two are ebay and one is a goodwill find.

Comments: Please help authenticate. Creed D4F-9085. It has the right measurements compared to the authentic one I own. The creed is fuzzy but it is a 1994 Duffle Sac. The zipper was gold toned once and are is now faded to nickel/silver color. Also the rivets that attach the buckles to the bag are nickel/silver color. I have had this problem with another bag in the past with another bag that couldn't be authenticated. TIA

#1 and #3 are fine.

#2 needs a picture of the creed. If picture 3 is supposed to be a creed, not only can I not read the creed but I don't even know what the picture is!
