Hello, i am a new member, i just bought a coach court bag from ebay(EUC), i have just received the bag today. the bag is in really good condition, very soft genuine leather with YKK zip inside. the serial number: J6D-9870. I can't believe this is an used court bag since 90's.. especially the hand tag..it looks like fake.. Anyway..since i am not so familiar with the original line coach. Could anyone tell me the one is an authentic coach court bag or fake? Have a great day:smile1:

Rather than repeat the same things I've said a thousand times about ignoring those disgustingly incorrect "Authenticity Guides" that you find online, please read posts 13370, 13372 and 13379.

Zippers stamped YKK don't prove a thing.

Hangtag designs have changed dozens of times over the years. There's nothing wrong with the one on your bag.

Your bag is completely genuine and looks as if it's in perfect condition, which is very rare for a 15-year old bag especially in such a light color, and the hangtag is exactly what it should be and is original to the bag. Please stop wasting your time reading those so-called Guides (and please delete any you may have saved to your computer - except my Fakes List, of course ;) ) and enjoy your "new" Coach!

Hi Hyacinth, thanks for your kind response!:yahoo: I am so happy that I got this beautiful bag. Thank you sooooo much;). But... I just found the link with the hand tag which I just took today it looks like no longer available to view. Have you saw it yet? I just fixed it, here's the link: http://s861.photobucket.com/albums/ab180/viviancheou/previews/
So..the letters on the tag wasn't clear that it doesn't mean it's fake, right? However, Thanks again:)

Nope, the older tags weren't stamped as deply as the newer ones and the font was a bit different. Here's a scan of a page from a 1995 catalog showing the colors on actual hangtags, the center row are the tags used on the classic leather bags. Your bag's color is probably Bone - notice that none of them are stamped very deeply, and that even in the same year, different bag styles and families can have very different hangtags. And you'll notice that none of them look like the tags on current styles, so anyone who claims in a Guide or someplace else that ALL Coach hangtags should look exactly alike is full of ... I'll just say hot air, but fill in your own description. (Click on the thumbnail once to open it, and a second click should enlarge it).

I think you got a REALLY nice bag! There are probably at least a dozen people reading this, myself included, who are kicking themselves for not bidding or wondering how they happened to miss that auction. ;)

BTW, as long as you're starting to save Coach information - an excellent habit & one I highly recommend - here's another "book" for the library. This one and the post right after it can save you a ton of grief - posts # 508 and 509:

We add new numbers as we find them so you may also want to read all the posts after that one to find the newer fake numbers.

I am new and am wondering how this forum works. I would like someone to authenticate a bag for me, here is the link

Welcome to tPF!

The very first post way back on Page 1 explains what information we need to authenticate besides the auction link - we also need the seller's ID and the auction number and title if available

I wish there was a close-up of the creed patch, but what's in the photos looks ok.

Dang I was really curious if it was real or not. I guess someone knew it was a fake.Is it a violation of ebay if they stated it was a counterfit? I always wondered that.

Yes, I think so. I believe a seller is suppsed to KNOW it's authentic before listing. They can't say they 'think' it is, or even it is a fake. I wonder if anyone here got a look at it before it was removed?

Other than myself and Beenburned no one else has said anything. if it was fake it was a really good fake.I wondered if the seller was mistaken or if it really was a fake.IDK oh well I already have a authentic Sabrina on her way to me YAY
