Hi, appreciate if someone could authenticate this. I've already bought it, but just want to be sure its the real deal.

Item: BLK LTHR PLEATED E/W GALLERY TOTE F13759
Listing number:260600125302
Seller: 1gizmo1gidget

Thanks for your help!!!

The bag you bought is fine.

However, the seller has a bag she's selling that's questionable. Can someone take a look at the link below? I can't quite make out the serial number, but it looks like it starts with T and the bag has the tell-tale signs of stretch marked leather.

Please help me authenticate this Coach Tnx

The bag is fake. Along with other problems, the serial number NT-4903 is invalid.

Where did you buy this bag? I hope you can get a refund.

Dear Authenticators...please help me to authenticate these items

Comments : The lining are not similar....so curious???

Thank's...

I can't read the creed so a better picture (maybe without flash) would help, but based on the pictures I see, it looks to be okay.

I'm not sure what you mean regarding the lining being not similar.

I mean, "C" pattern on the front was not symmetrical stitches, outline does not look neat?
Thank's..

This is the Optic Signature pattern. That's how the Optic C's are supposed to look. The bag appears to be ok to me too, but getting a clear picture, readable of the creed would help.

Welcome to tPF! Please use the format in Post #1 because this helps make it easier to search for items and sellers.

Item: NEW Designer Inspired hobo shoulder bag purse

Seller: fastassshipper

Comments:

The seller calls this "designer inspired" and avoids using the Coach name, but the bag clearly has Coach logos and a fake Coach tag. The bag is fake.

The seller also has a fake Gucci she's selling. The auction was previously pulled but she has relisted.

That's what I mentioned earlier~ this bag was released for Fall and the fake I have does not have that on the back of the hangtag like mine did. It is a good fake, which is why I bought it in the first place. But I was sooooooooo disappointed to find out it was fake when it arrived. I am curious about one thing though BB~ how are you able to tell the exact month the bag was made?

Also, I apologize if I got a little annoying with my questioning~ it's just very frustrating when you know you have a fake and someone says otherwise because they can't inspect it in person. In person I have no doubt at all you would know it is fake instantaneously simply because the suede and leather aren't genuine. I appreciate you reviewing the evidence as much as you did. When I get my authentic bag in blue I would like to submit a pic of the patent # on the snap~ I think it's a good thing to be aware of.

I have looked over the photos again and there are certain incorrect details on the bag that I just can't ignore.

The magnetic snap is one of the major things about this bag that concerns me. I realize that Coach isn't always consistent regarding hardware, however, there are a few things that Coach IS consistent about and the magnetic snap is one of them. This is one of the things that I insist on seeing when I look at an item that has one. (Screws are another.) ALL of the magnetic snaps I have seen on authentic items (and I have seen many on many Coach items, not just bags) have always been consistent. I have also seen magnetic snaps on fakes and the fake magnetic snaps have looked similar to the snap in the picture, with other lettering and wording.

The feet on the bottom of the OP's bag is another detail that is blatantly incorrect. This is another detail that I ask to see on a bag. I have seen fakes with "correct" looking feet, but the feet on the OP's bag are completely wrong. This is the type of feet I've seen on fakes.

The problem is that we can no longer expect the fake factories to always churn out shotty replicas we can determine easily. Sometimes they take more care and make them almost just like the originals and that's a big problem.
A link was posted here awhile ago to a replica site that was selling extremely realistic-looking designer items. We had a discussion about whether the pictures on the site showed the actual items. They did use a Coach stock photo for the first picture, however, they claimed that the other pictures were pictures of the actual items. Some of us looked at the pictures and for some of the bags, it was virtually impossible to tell from the pictures whether they were pictures of a fake or real bag. The site advertised these replicas as better than Grade A quality and the prices for individual items were more expensive than outlet and retail sale prices (probably because the items are meant to be wholesaled). If the pictures show the actual replicas, these are some of the scariest fakes I've ever seen.

Another major issue is the dissolution of the Coach authentication department. I am wondering if you guys have heard of this happening recently? All I know about it is I received a letter along with my bag back in the mail. I will try to find it~ maybe it says something I missed but it's not a good thing for us ebayers.
According to this thread, Coach has discontinued the authentication service:

http://forum.purseblog.com/ebay-forum/buy-a-bag-ebay-etc-coach-will-authenticate-581932.html

OP, after looking at all your pictures and reading your description of the bag and comparing the pictures to authentic ones of this style, it is my belief that you got a fake. The bag is a very well-made fake, but as with other realistic-looking fakes we've seen before, there are certain details that are wrong.

It's always a risk when you buy from somewhere other than an authorized retailer. In this case, you bought from a seller who bought it from someone else on ebay. The original source cannot be determined.

I hope this situation can come to a satisfactory conclusion for both you and the seller because both of you were duped.

#1 - Looks ok, though I would ask for a picture of the creed.

#2 - Authentic. Yes, this is the small size, which in my opinion, is cute but a bit small if you tend to carry a lot of stuff. It'll fit your essentials, but doesn't leave room for much else. And the opening to the bag is really small as well, which makes it hard to get into and out of. It does have the longer strap to wear as a hippie, but the other strap will only fit over your shoulder if you're super tiny, otherwise, it can be carried as a handbag. If you think these things would bother you, it might be better to get the larger size. It's a cute bag, though! I love the Parkers because the leather is so buttery soft and they're really comfortable to wear.
