Comments: I'm a bit leery as this is a new seller.

Item:Coach Poppy Sparkle Leather Bella Tote Bag 14535

Comments: I asked the seller about the "minor marks" and for more pictures. She said they were not cuts or rubs in the leather, just marks. She also said the bag has never been carried, but she listed it as pre-owned due to the marks. I asked for more pictures, but have not receive any.

Thank you in advance!

#1 - Looks ok. I looked at the seller's other items and she appears to use her own pictures. If you decide to bid and win, pay with a credit card through PP to be safe.

#2 - Looks ok. It would be good to know where on the bag the marks are and how bad they are since this type of material is very hard to clean (and to keep clean).

Thank you. She said the marks are on the backside of the bag. If it's hard to clean that bag it may not be the best bag for me to use for work.

I'll start with #2: Looks okay.

Although I don't see huge red flags with listing #1, I too am a bit leery. The seller's photobucket album has so many pictures of Uggs, LV and clothing and the pictures show details that a newbie user usually wouldn't have. I wonder if this is a new seller with a new ID.

Please wait for other opinions.

ETA: I see that Starry agrees that #1 looks okay. I also agree that if you buy, fund the payment with a credit card.

You're welcome. The "sparkle leather" Bella is made of a soft, "sueded leather" that is easily soiled and prone to color transfer. It's a high-maintenance material and probably not meant to be used as an everyday bag.

I took a second look the first seller's Photobucket album, and I agree that the Uggs make me uneasy. (I didn't see the pics at first.) It's probably safer to look for a more established seller.

Thank you so much starrymaz for your fast reply!!

There are two other purses that I would love an opinion from you ladies on:

Item Name: Brown Optic Purse 10992
Photos: nov 10 001.jpgcreed.JPG

Item Name: Brown Signature Legacy 11140
Photos: nov 10 015.jpgnov 10 018.jpgcreed2.JPG

I hope I attached the photos correctly and can provide more if necessary. Thanks again for your expertise!

It appears to me to be an authentic "Sonoma Pocket Zip" made of pebbled leather.

The creed wording is right, the lining is right and the hardware is right for the old Sonoma line.

What is the "number" after the M? That will tell you the year it was made.

:smile1:

:yahoo:DemRam, Thank you. The number after the "M" is 6. BTW, I went back to the shop where I found this bag and guess what(drum roll...) I found a "Black" Sonoma Pocket Zip" (same last number but start with E7M). Will post pictures of that one soon

Hello Everyone!

I just started looking at this "Authenticate" thread and there has been a lot of good advice. I have a quick question for you. I really want the Coach Peyton Inlaid C purse... and since its an older bag its been pretty hard to find.

I have had the worst luck with Ebay... so could you let me know if this bag is authentic. Or do you have any suggestions on how to get this bag? (I've tried calling Coach's Customer Service)
and they stated that I should try the Factory Stores. I've tried a couple in my area with no luck)

Welcome to tPF! Your best bet would probably be ebay at this point since the bag is no longer in stores.

As for the one in the link you posted, there needs to be more pictures, including a clear, closeup picture of the creed.

The style number of this bag is 14516. You can do a search on ebay for "Coach 14516" but be sure to ask about any that you may be interested in before you bid. I see one fake listed right now.

For future authenticity requests, please use the format in Post #1, pg.1, as this helps make it easier to search for items and sellers:
