Thanks for the actual Coach measurements! I like the larger size better maybe gift the smaller one to my sister if I go for those two...There is a red one listed BIN for $97 and I am sooooo tempted I may actually do it. I'm dying for a unique red bag. The creed makes me believe it is older than the two black bags I am watching. Would this one be a canteen bag like the listing states or would it be a chester bag because it has the back zipper inside and the measurements are larger?

From the measurements it would be a Chester Bag from the early 1990s.

I picked up this bag at a thrift store. I am not very familiar with the Coach brand so I can't tell if it is authentic.

The creed reads that it was"...handcrafted in China from the finest haircalf trimmed with genuine lamb nappa."

It has the bulls eye symbol on the creed plate, brass hang tag, snap closure and it came with a Coach pamplet.

Photos attached.

Thank you!

BTW, it's called a Girlie Hair Calf Hobo and it's from 2001. All the Girlie-style bags and quite a few other styles used that kind of hangtag in 2001.

I just recently purchased this bag. Navy blue leather, great quality, I absolutely love the large metal closure. I just want to confirm that it is an authentic Coach. How about a Cashin Coach? :)

There is not a creed, just a small metal tag that reads COACH.

The brass front plate seems quite unusual (at least to me). The back of the "stick" part reads "Italy Solid Brass"

I hope I'm doing this right. I apologize if I'm not. This is my first post. :smile1:

Thanks in advance,

I believe it was already confirmed authentic at Ebay's forum. I've seen several bags like that before but I don't know any details about them. Maybe someone here can narrow down the time period or come up with a name.

Probably not a Cashin style although she may have designed some of the details. The metal plaque and lack of Cashin's signature "awning stripe" lining make it less than an even chance that it can be called a Bonnie Cashin design. Unfortunately way too many sellers stick Bonnie's name on anything they list that's more than 5 years old.

I agree with Hyacinth. I think it's a TOTAL "guess" whether Cashin had anything to do with that bag. The brass closure *may* have been a Cashin detail, though that's just a guess too. Unfortunately the Cashin Foundation doesn't seem to be authenticating her work. I wish they would because it's the only way I know to be sure.

There were a few different "marks" used during Cashin's time at Coach, but the ones I've seen used her name. The "mark" on your bag is definitely an old one, but I haven't found anybody who actually knows the exact years those old marks were used. (Maybe late 1970's)?

It's a great looking bag.

I think the hang tag looks fine for that bag. At least it looks like the hang tags on all my older bags.

Maybe Hyacinth will comment on it, because but I don't own any newer Coach and have no idea what the "new" hang tags look like.

:smile1:

Thank you DemRam. Hyacinth also confirmed that the hang tag is characteristic of that time period. I'm really enjoying this bag. I had it out with me for the first time today.

Nice find, congratulations!

We are bag siblings! I recently picked up a wool Girlie Hobo in a hound's tooth pattern, trimmed with lamb nappa at the thrift store. They are special little bags! Here's an "after rehab" pic of my little Girlie!

Are the photos the seller sent you the same size as what you posted? They're much too small to see any details, unfortunately. You need to save them to your computer full-size and either upload them to a free service like Photobucket, or make sure they're less than 195 kb and use the "manage attatchments" link to shrink them to thumbnail size.

Is one of these agenda planners fake? Or did Coach make 2 different versions of it??
One of the agenda has a gold logo on the front turnlock and the inside has the coach horse carriage symbol in the insde.
The other one doesn't...

This link doesn't have gold logo

This link DOES have the gold logo

Sorry, I don't know anything about agendas, but the second one just doesn't look right to me. More opinions please.
