The wallet in the listing is authentic. It's an outlet style and there are a couple of possibilities.Hi...
Please help me out here... I sold a gorgeous AUTHENTIC Coach Jewel Medium Zip around wallet to a buyer EXACTLY one month ago... I purchased it at the COACH outlet in Hershey, PA...so it's obviously GUARANTEED 100% AUTHENTIC. Well, today buyer messages me and claims that the wallet is fake. She said because it looks different from other types of COACH wallets, and because several people questioned it, she had her doubts. SHE ALSO SAID THAT SHE TOOK IT TO A COACH STORE AND THE MANAGER ALSO CONFIRMED THAT IT IS FAKE!!! How on earth could ANY manager claim this gorgeous, authentic Coach wallet is fake??
Here's my old EBAY listing...with TONS OF PICS, dustbag, card, and box:
http://cgi.ebay.com/300562958557?ru...58557&_sacat=See-All-Categories&_fvi=1&_rdc=1
Item name: $138 NWT COACH Jewel Leather Medium Zip Around WALLET
Item number: 300562958557
Seller is me: handbaglvoer2011
I DESPISE fakes, so this is obviously upsetting to me that anyone would accuse me of selling one... I told buyer that I would mail her the original receipt w/ salesperson's name and store contact informationand that she could also feel free to have it authenticated at caroldiva or here... I'm beyond FURIOUS about this, so I decided to post it here first. Even though I know that it is, PLEASE confirm that my wallet is AUTHENTIC, so I can send this link to the buyer.
Thank you so much!

1. Coach employees aren't trained to authenticate and in fact, they're prohibited by company policy from authenticating. They're trained to sell bags and ring up purchases made in their stores.
And in fact, most employees aren't even familiar with styles, patterns and/or colors if those items aren't currently in their store at that moment.
2. Coach employees have been known to tell customers who approach them with their ebay or other online purchases that items are fake, whether or not the item is fake or not.
If the buyer wants to come to the forum and post questions about her concerns, we can (hopefully) reassure her.
Edited to add:
To prove my point, I would challenge your buyer to purchase an item directly from Coach.com or a Coach store, Macy's or another authorized Coach distributor and to take that item to a different Coach store, tell them she purchased it from ebay and wants to make sure that it's genuine.
My guess is that 3 times out of four, they will tell her that it's fake even though it isn't. And the fourth person probably didn't get the memo that she should lie about authenticity!
