COMPLETELY fake! The reason it looks almost legit is because all the graphics and a lot of the merchandise photos that look like genuine bags are illegally stolen right from Coach's website. They don't even show the right names for most of the styles they're ripping off.

The only company IN THE WORLD authorized to use Coach's name in their site name or URL is Coach.com. EVERYONE else doing it is selling fakes. If a nylon Kipling bag sells for 80 or 90 dollars, there's no possible way a real Coach would sell for the same price.

And "Boston Bags"? Sorry, that name was never used by Coach.

"RIGISTER" ???

I knew it lol! I wanted to check with you guys though. I feel kinda like a know it all, because she is older than i am... Thanks.

Hi, could you authenticate this Coach for me? I'm pretty sure the bag is authentic, but not so sure about the hang tag. - http://www.use.com/editset.pl?set=8fb13ec5fd4eadb3c9df

Thanks!

It's a genuine Legacy Small Pocket Zip. The hangtag is a replacement though - hard to tell if it's genuine since even the metal hangtags have had many detail changes over the years but it seems ok although the logo on the back is a bit deep.

I am being so thrown off by this bag because out of EVERY bag that I have seen that is a 11134 on ebay as well as elsewhere on the internet, they all have the extra stitching that goes up and around the closure. This one doesnt. What's up with that? thanks

Here is a comparison of hers plus the one that i found one the internet, mind you all the others in every other color i found are like the second one.

It looks like this bag was seriously altered and possibly painted/dyed. In the last picture, you can see a faint line around the front where that row of stitching is supposed to be. There's no mention of the alterations in the description though. :confused1:

It seems like that seller needs to be more careful about what she buys. She was just mentioned here last week (she did remove the fake as soon as someone contacted her and told her it was counterfeit):

Hello,

New here. I am an ebay and etsy seller and from time to time I find Coach bags at estate sales etc. I am very concerned that I never sell anything that is fake. I currently have 3 running on etsy, if you could have a look and let me know of your opinion on authenticity that would be great. Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to the Purse Forum.

1st. E5C-9870 is a 1995 "Court" Bag. (Note that it's the number "5" and not an "S" on the creed).

2nd. H5C-9983 is a 1995 "Regina" Bag.

3rd. E5D-9919 is a 1995 "Quincy" Bag. (Note that it also has the number "5" and not an "S" on the creed).

Post photos of the tan one in question.

Wait for other opinions, but they all look OK to me.

Please continue to have anything you buy authenticated here. Estate sales are a large source of fakes and it pays to be careful. Familiarize yourself with the Coach fake serial numbers list if you haven't already found it, it's posted here in 3 parts. You may want to print it out and keep a copy with you when you shop:

Comments: I received the clutch and posted more pictures of it to confirm authenticity. There isnt a serial number just the creed. Thank you for your help.

I've seen it before but I don't have a "name" for the bag - it appears to be authentic and Made in NYC.

There was a short period of time when Coach used only the creed without the serial number. Probably in the later 1970's.

What are the measurements? The seller's measurements look wrong, especially the depth. I can't imagine that the bag is 8 1/2 Inches Deep.
