What website are you using to find the number? It doesn't sound like it's very dependable - it might be a good idea to stop using it.
My Coach archive lists it as 13511 Parker Op Art Convertible Hippie. I'm not familiar with that style's details but someone here should be able to authenticate it.

Hyacinth is right. Style 13511 is the Parker Op Art Convertible Hippie. This is the smaller size hippie.
I think CarriedAway meant that when she did a search for Coach 13511 on ebay, two of the results were for Poppy bags. That's because the seller of both of those listings made a mistake in the title for the listings. One is supposed to be 15311 and the other is supposed to be 15307.

Looks good. Very cute! Soho Optic Signature Small Hobo With Appliqué, style 6723, retail price $228. The bag in your pictures was made in December 2004. This style came out in stores for Spring 2005.

ahaa! I was thinking so! The things that struck me were,
a) the lack of a country mentioned in the creed patch.
b) the pattern not matching up on the bottom
c) I think the leather is the wrong color.
or..
Is it as simple as Coach never made this style in this pattern of material?
Style 40949 belongs to a Tattersall top-handle pouch. Here's Coach's picture of what style 40949 looks like.
The bag in your pictures is fake for a number of reasons, just to name a few:
- Wrong style. The style is a "Carly" type bag. Coach did not make a Tattersall Carly like this.
- Coach does use creeds with script fonts that don't state the country of manufacture, however the creed on your bag is wrong. It has the wrong serial number, wrong stamping, the font is not the font Coach uses, sloppy stitching and crooked stamping.
- The hardware is incorrect. The dogleash clip is the wrong shape.
- Cheap lining and cheap materials.
- Patch on the front is poorly stamped, has the wrong font, and sloppy stitching.

It's fake. There are many things wrong with the bag but indeed, Coach didn't make a Carly in tattersall.
