Hello ladies,
I am new here, and want to thank you for sharing all your knowledge. I've learned a lot!
As I said I am a new collector, and a friend gave me a purse. I've been reading all the information listed and am coming to the conclusion that it's a fake. The creed patch says "This is a Coach bag.It was handcrafted from the finest of materials. It's superior craftsmanship and attention to detail, reflect our commitment to enduring quality."
There's no mention of where it was made, i.e. China, United States etc. And the script is different than what I've seen. This is loopy and has that handwritten look to it.
I've looked on ebay, typed in the serial # 40949, and the Tattersal line comes up, but....I don't know...it just doesn't seem RIGHT. Thanks again for your time.
welcome to tPF.

We will need to see pictures of your bag in order to authenticate it. Please post pictures either using the "manage attachments" function or by using a photo hosting website such as photobucket. Upload the pictures to the hosting site and post the IMG links.

Do you have any pics ? Without pics they won't be able to authenticate. You need some good all around pics and a good one of the creed and the stitching around it. Welcome :smile1:

Welcome to TPF! In order to authenticate, we'll need to see pictures of your bag.

Coach does use creeds that don't state the country of manufacture. You'll find a small tag inside the bag that says "Made in ___". Some items do have creeds with a script font. Style number 40949 is a Tattersall pouch, but as I mentioned before, in order for us to authenticate your bag, we'll need to see pictures. Please post pictures of the bag, including a picture of the creed.

Can someone please take a look at this bag and help me to authenticate/name it. I believe it is a Parker hobo style, but whenever I put the number inside (13511) into a website it comes back as a poppy type of bag. There is a larger leather Parker with the number 13416, or 13411. This bag is 11 1/2 X 11, not including twisted or strap handle. I'm confused. Can somepne help? TIA
