I need help! this brown bag is stumping me because the H is sooo far from the rest of the stamped numbers...The red however looks good to me. I just can't tell if the brown bag was hand stamped and they messed up the creed or what?

I really want the red bag however but will not buy if both aren't authentic.

ITEM: 2 Coach City Bags- 1 Brown and 1 Red with Tan Trim

Both are ok. There was a lot of variation in older creeds especially the ones made outside the US.

The brown one is a Court Bag and the red one is probably a Compartment Bag Spectator from around 1989, neither is a City Bag. The main section is divided into two compartments so if you carry thicker wallets or accessories the red one may not give you the room you need.

Comments: I'm looking for a Coach keychain and love four-leaf clovers, so I found a couple of keychains like this and wonder if they're authentic. The thee I've seen posted on eBay in the past week were green, pink and multicolor. It's cute, but kinda doesn't look like Coach's style to me...and this seller also has some Coach Hello Kitty keychains, which seems suspect to me.

All those are complete fakes, Coach has never made that style keychain in ANY color. The Hello Kitty ones are also bad fakes - Sanrio is perfectly capable of making their own keychains and Coach doesn't violate other companies trademarks.

Please report all of that seller's keychains.

Do not buy from jackcat20050_3. The "Coach" keychains are fake and I also wonder about the Sanrio Hello Kitty items.

Feel free to report the fake keychains.

Thanks so much Hyacinth! Any idea what it is?

No, sorry, there's nothing in my files on it. Maybe an outlet-only bag? Soho Studded Hobo or something close to it.

I should have said "Report all the keychains with "Coach" in the title, the others may be legal.

thanks Hyacinth! I wasn't sure because I have a station bag that was made in Turkey and the creed is perfectly spaced. Figured safer to double check :)

I bought a tiny coach wallet for my small bags so I should be ok size wise for the red bag. I love the colour combo on the red bag.

Maybe you coulod check those two and explain where the differences are?

All I asked was for you to compare it to 2 other sets of photos and tell me what you were seeing that you thought wasn't right. How is that "jumping all over you?"

I felt jumped on. I apologize if I misinterpreted.

No one jumped all over you! Hyacinth and I just commented that we didn't see any differences between the bag in question and other listings for the same bag.

In fact, it's a good thing to have different people voicing opinions because extra sets of eyes often see something that another might not see. It happens frequently and that's not a bad thing.

You're welcome.

Would any of the experts have any idea when my Watermelon Tote was made? I'm really curious. When did Coach stop making bags in NYC?

The only thing I can tell you that I know for sure is this: I have the book titled "The Factory - Portrait of a Leathergoods Factory in Downtown New York City". The Copyright is 1977 and it has pictures taken of the Coach NYC factory and words by Miles Cahn.

So...I'm assuming that factory was at least still in production in NYC until 1977. I could be wrong, but I'm not just going by the info I have and I really wish someone knew the definitive answer.

Very interesting! Thanks! I'm going to have to look for that book. :smile1:
