Comments:
I've been asked about the authenticity of this item. Seller's pictures (the clearer ones) are scanned images and I'm not sure whether that's the reason why the stitching looks funky or if the hangtag is fake. The stitching on the back of the hangtag is really sloppy.

I don't feel comfortable reporting it until it's confirmed.

Opinions? TIA.

I don't know for sure, but I compared it to the hangtags I have. I have one the same size from 2005 and the stitches are smaller, the edges of the tag are less rounded, on the end with the hole, mine is triangular, while that one curves in. All in all, mine is so much nicer. I just noticed that a hangtag I have from 2010 does curve in like that. I think the giveaway is the number of stitches per inch. That one has 8 stitches across the long side and mine has 12. None of my 20 or so hangtags have stitches that big. Also, I don't like the way the stitches go around the corner, sort of rounded rather than square. The stitches don't seem very straight.

Thank you so much! :)
You're welcome.

Thank you for comparing.

I also compared and as has been proven time and again, the most consistent thing about Coach is its inconsistency.

I have different hangtags in different shapes and with different stitch counts.

It should be interesting to read other opinions. One thing I can say is that the more I look at the picture of the back of that hangtag, the sloppier the stitching looks and the more uneven the edges are.

I've never seen one that looks like that either. The entire hangtag including the outer edges is just a mess, it's not even cut straight. And the stitches are really bad. Reporting it sounds like a good idea.

Can someone please authenticate this Coach bag on eBay? Unfortunately, the auction ends in about 3 hours. But thanks for any help you can provide!

Comments: Thinking about purchasing but couldn't find any other bags similar to this from Coach.

Without photos of the creed stamp it's impossible to say for sure. If you bid, please pay with Paypal funded by a credit card so you can get your money back. Post photos of the creed stamp here when you receive it. It looks like a Beaumont Satchel so it should have a creed stamp.

What I can see seems to be ok although I can't be sure if the bag's been re-dyed or not.

I can't figure out to multiquote, so I just copied and pasted. Hope this works. Did you overlook this request?

Every place where I could find this bag on the internet had much bigger measurements.
thanks
She sent me these pictures of the creed. I hope this is enough to authenticate this bag. thanks again.

Also, she told me that the zipper didn't have to be rethreaded if opened all the way, and I thought all tribecas had separating zippers.

Just a comment about the measurements - on that bag there would be a big difference depending on whether the side-to-side width was measured at the top or the bottom.

All I can say is that the style HAS been faked since there are listings for it on fakes-selling sites with photos stolen from Coach.

That Beaumont Satchel looks like it has so much crud on it that it could stand at attention on it's own.

We can't authenticate based on a serial number because the counterfeiters can and do often use valid serial numbers. So we need to see the creed.

As for meaurements, they can vary depending on how the bag is measured. Some sellers flatten the bag to measure and others stuff it to measure.

Thanks, I hope with the creed pictures, someone else can help. I have seen a few of these smaller looking bags listed before, but I have never had them authenticated.

The only photos I can find are from a bag someone asked about here over a year ago but there aren't any creed photos for comparison.

Sometimes we just can't give an answer because we have nothing to use for comparison.

And it's not vintage either, I think they just came out in 1998.
