I vaguely remember something referred to as a Flight Bag that was designed more as a piece of luggage than a handbag. That could be it. But I've never seen any printed details.

ETA - AHA! I remembered where I'd seen it - in SacsMagnifiques' blog and I think it was posted at one of the Pinterest sites too, along with others from the Flight Bag family. Must have been the Throwback Thursday pages:

and

I too had come across those web pages earlier. At 15" x 9" x 6", it certainly appears to be more along the proportions of the earliest men's bag Ms. Leinbach shows. With the exception of its depth though, it really isn't that large say compared to the 9800 Carriers it's current sitting next to on the shelf.

Thanks again for delving further into this.

Again, the lining is a big red flag. Bonnie Cashin era wallets might have random linings like that, but this isn't one of those. The zippered compartment at the end is weird. That's not the way Coach would have done it. I'd have to say it is fake.

ETA: Coach wallets don't come with hangtags.
I have seen various Authentic Vintage Coach accesories With Hangtags, such as small wallets, the long flap turnlock zip wallet/pouch, and zip or turnlock pouches. Some have the blue/white ticking fabric inside or unlined. For the wallets, quite a few styles have a small hangtag attached to a zip end. Sorry I do not know the names/style numbers, maybe someone can look up a few.

Yes, that's been determined. In fact, I posted a couple of Coach's stock photos in this post:
http://forum.purseblog.com/showpost.php?p=29862202&postcount=12932

The question was whether the striped lining (as shown in the OP's pics) was one Coach used.

IMO, the style isn't a common style of wallet and although I'd never say that something has never been faked or that it wouldn't be faked, I don't believe her wallet is fake.

I wonder whether that lining is something that Sacs Magnificque and Jed Winoker have ever seen.

Thanks for the reply and link. The other post stating: "Coach Wallets do not come with a Hangtag" may need revision. People might read that and not know of other correction post/replies.

Unfortunately, unless a post is completely off-base, they (mods) don't remove or revise. Corrections and clarifications are made by members in followup responses, just what was done in this case.

Coach Willis bag 9927

Bought at an estate sale over the weekend

Comments : My mother-in-law bought this thinking it was black then got home and realized it was gray. She thinks it's fake simply because she has never seen this color. It looks real to me but I'm no expert. please authenticate. If this is authentic was there an official color name for this shade of gray that has a bit of a brown tinge? Thanks a lot for your expertise

It's authentic. I don't know whether it's gray or faded black; Whateve would probably know.

Well the woman she bought it from said it's never been used and it appears to have never been used so I I don't believe it's faded.. but I could be wrong. Also, because it's gray and not black like she wanted she may want to post it for sale in her condo community. If there is an actual name of the color she would like to use it in case an interested buyer wants to look it up on the Internet etc.. She said she couldn't find anything online. Her thinking is that if she thought it was fake someone else may pick it up, think it's fake also if they can't find that color online. And I can see her point

While reporting a counterfeit Coach wallet from this seller, I came across an oddball listing in her completed/sold listings.

I'd like opinions on the bag. (It appears to be either 10124 or 10125, both of which are highly and well-faked.)
