And while we're discussing love2shopdotbags and her listings, she also has another of the same item in red.

I don't believe it's authentic either.

Item number: 321746527360

B2J and made in US?:nono:
This one also has some of the same issues as the green one; puckering, indented turnlock:

The J plant had been open for a year in CHINA by that time. D2J- or B2J- prefixes with Made in the US creeds are all FAKE.

IF ANYONE KNOWS " LOVE2SHOPDOTBAGS " they may want to contact the seller ASAP

AND BASED ON WHATEVE'S PREVIOUS POST 2 WEEKS AGO, I THINK WE NEED TO REPORT THE FAKES SINCE THE SELLER APPARENTLY RELISTED THEM. The orignal links for the green and red bags from Whateve's previous post are redirected to one of those "Items found similar to "NEW COACH VTG CLASSIC TRUE RED LEATHER COMBO CHECKBOOK CLUTCH PURSE WALLET RARE" which means that the original listings were removed by Ebay and the seller has relisted them.

please report:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-COACH-V...IN-USA-RARE-/321746527360?hash=item4ae9966480

NEW COACH VTG CLASSIC TRUE RED LEATHER CLUTCH PURSE WALLET MADE IN USA RARE!

and

VTG COACH CLASSIC EMERALD GREEN LEATHER CLUTCH PURSE WALLET MADE IN USA RARE!
391124850102

SELLER - LOVE2SHOPDOTBAGS

ETA - what I really find interesting is that, in Whateve's post 2 weeks ago where she posted the 2 fakes at the HoS, the seller described them as
"NEW COACH VTG CLASSIC TRUE RED LEATHER COMBO CHECKBOOK CLUTCH PURSE WALLET RARE

321453843496

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-COACH-VT...3D141542604538

and this one by same seller, only in green:

390879709709

http://www.ebay.com/itm/COACH-VTG-CL...3D141542604538"

....................

Clicking on the link for the removed green one brings up the listing title"COACH VTG CLASSIC EMERALD GREEN LEATHER COMBO CHECKBOOK CLUTCH PURSE WALLET RARE"

but when it was relisted, the listing title changed slightly - a good way to keep any automated program Ebay might have in place from finding relists of removed items using the same exact title - and the green one is now listed as "VTG COACH CLASSIC EMERALD GREEN LEATHER CLUTCH PURSE WALLET MADE IN USA RARE!" without the "Checkbook" part.
But...
scroll down farther in the listing and it's "Vintage Coach Combo Checkbook Purse Clutch Wallet, Style no 7171." so it's the same item, only the name has been changed to protect the... ummmmmmm.... seller. She also says "Coach called this style Combo Wallet/Checkbook". No they didn't, they just called it a Turnlock Case. There's NOTHING in that design that would indicate it was made for a checkbook. Gotta wonder if there was a bogus price tag with that name that somehow went missing.

She has another fake:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-COA...763122?hash=item5b1feebb32:g:WhEAAOSw--1WsekY

At this point, I don't recommend love2shopdotbags

And yet another fake, supposedly from 1996 with a Chinese plant code:

This one also appears to be fake:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-COACH-V...901028?hash=item5b06034324:g:F8oAAOSwQItUK8k9

Curious that this one is missing a creed picture: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Class...245872?hash=item4ad55d5e30:g:AAEAAMXQh8NTdS0~
That leads me to believe she knows.
Regarding the "Willis" without the creed picture, I saw that and questioned it because
1. I noticed the elephant stretching on the top
2. The pillow above the turnlock goes straight across rather than curving to follow the shape of the turnlock.

This makes me wonder how many fakes she has sold that weren't caught. I'm betting it's a large number.

ETA: I enlarged both portions of the pictures below to show detail. Compare:

I think she purposely took the picture at that angle to make it less obvious. I think I also see grooves in the back of the turnlock.

There are grooves on the back of the turnlock. I enlarged it and although grainy, you can see them in love2shop4dot 's picture.

Yep, they're ALL fake. Looks like someone just found a new home on the "NOT RECOMMENDED" List.

She's learned all the tricks though, hasn't she? Or so she thinks.

WHATEVE, thank you for putting the listing numbers in your post about the fake Turnlock Cases she first listed in January. That should make it easier for T&S or whatever to verify that she relisted 2 VeRO takedowns.

I have also seen fakes mixed in with Authentic bags-not to mention Love2ShopDOTbags prices are astronmical..
But , I just wanted to comment on the GROOVED Back plate. There were-maybe still are a couple sellers that sell replacement turnlocks for COACH bags on ebay.. I purchased one with the grooved back plate (a couple years ago) and when I wrote seller about this they would not refund me stating that "..COACH outsourced their hardware"(yeah, no kidding) I did not use the backplate, just the turnlock. It is always possible that some Rehabbers, might use it & not disclose that is a replacement turnlock. They do cost 12 bucks!
I am in NO WAY supporting Love2ShopDOTbags..I've always am amazed & amused by her prices-OUCH! :faint:

The replacement turnlock pieces for sale on ebay with the non grooved back plates are less rounded than the original turnlocks on the Vintage bags.
AND-I just reported all her fakes to ebay -let's see if they WAKE UP...:tumbleweed::tumbleweed:

Yes, I mentioned in my previous post (copied below) that if it were just one or two "issues" that were off, it might be accounted for by hardware having been replaced but with so many anomalies, that possibility is eliminated. (Add to that all the other fakes she has listed and she becomes an unrecommended seller!)

Based on the multiple differences, I believe that love2shopdotbags item is fake.

If it were just a different turnlock (male) piece or just a different type of zipper, it could be possibly be attibuted a replacement. But with all the issues, I agree that the item is probably fake.

The F plant was an odd duck. I have similar F creeds in my files. I think the bag is authentic.

ETA: are you sure your comp is authentic?

I THINK the briefcase with the serif font is ok, but I don't have any files on briefcases. Noshoepolish would have to take a look at it. I've seen the same font in a Candidate Brief from 1994 that seemed ok. The Candidate has the same leather, detailing, and creed statement as the Madison bags, so it's hard to imagine anyone copying that and getting everything right. Pics below, with a red Hamilton Portfolio, not from the Madison family, below it..

ETA - looks like I have the same Portfolio in my files as the one Whateve posted - sorry!

The creed in the "Duffle Sac" worries me though, it seems like the Coach logo isn't centered in the cartouche, and the entire logo just seems "off".

Right ON!
I just wanted to make a point about turnlocks -kinda off topic ,But I was just replacing a turnlock this afternoon on a bag & I was going through my hangtags , chains & extra turnlocks when I came upon a crimped back, SO......... while It was Fresh in my burned out Brain....:woot:

Please authenticate this bag. I unwisely purchased it without seeing the creed. It appears to be counterfeit, but I just wanted confirmation before I ask for a refund.

Item: Coach Vintage Cross Body Bag
Seller: cknoedler2013
Listing #: 331762147973
Link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-Vinta...j275MO1dxqQXRNM3rehio%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

Comments: After receiving the bag, I took pictures of the back plate of the turn lock showing grooves, and the creed, showing several obvious problems there.

Thank you!

Yes, it's fake. This is why we don't recommend bidding on listings that don't have the needed pictures. Make sure you mention that it isn't even the right style number.
