Can I get some input? This is listed by a seller with 100% feedback as a NWT bag. I am told it was not too long ago for sale at outlet online and elsewhere, so I am assuming she probably got it there.

If it's authentic I am going to buy it, it's identical to the bag my MIL owned that was stolen, and I am told by coach they are NOT re-releasing the actual classics this year, as planned, just Stuart Vever's "modern takes" on them.

Ok, those didn't attach right... try again!
Please read the instructions on the first page of this thread. If the item is from an online listing, post the information from the listing in your request. There is no need to attach pictures when we can see them in the listing.

Don't put too much faith in 100% feedback. We see fakes listed by sellers with 100% feedback all the time.
It's authentic.

Sorry, I was not sure if we were supposed to outright list it or not. I thought photos were the point.

Since that's the real deal, I am going to grab it. Thank you!

The reason we need seller ID and item number is two-fold.

It helps in future searches for sellers who are either repeat offenders for selling fakes or to learn whether a seller is trustworthy.

Additionally, it helps prevent duplicate requests for the same listing when members search the seller, item number, description, etc. It saves extra work for authenticators who don't have to evaluate a listing multiple times.

Ok, that makes sense. Thank you for explaining. I tend to hang out in the jewelry section, and I am not good at the bag part of this!

Hi Whateve, I was looking at the bag in question as it is a beautiful one. I was reading thru the listing description and the Seller stated that it had silver hardware but when I was looking at the individual pictures it seemed like the hardware looked like it was gold in some and silver in another. I'm not questioning the authenticity of the pictures but wondered if you have ever seen instances where the photography lighting would have changed the color appearance of the Coach hardware? Thanks Whateve for your insight!

Of course! Colors in photos change all the time because of lighting, camera settings, screen settings, and simply because
a- the camera, whether a cheap one in a phone or a "real" one made as a fully functional camera does NOT see colors the way the human eye does. Brown purses can photograph as purple or blue for instance
and
b- the metal of the bag hardware can reflect whatever color is around it, and different lighting has different "shades". Incandescent home lighting is much yellower than sunlight, The color of the walls or draperies in the room where the bag was photographed or the bedspread it was photographed ON can be reflected in the metal on the bag. That's why many professional sellers use a special all-white photography box to photograph their items in, there's less chance of them picking up colors from the surroundings and it helps even out the lighting. You'll see that more in jewelry listings because a small piece of jewelry is easier to fit into a photography box than a large purse with a long strap.

With this set of photos, in the picture of the close-up of the price tag the hardware looks yellow because the background is light to medium golden brown woodgrain.

NEVER EXPECT THE COLORS IN PHOTOS TO BE ACCURATE. There are at least a dozen different factors that affect how the colors of all the materials look through a camera vs how they look to our eyes.

The hardware on that purse is silver color

Comments: In the event my MIL would prefer a made in US bag, even if it's preowned, is this also authentic? It looks to be in pretty darn good condition.

The preowned one is also genuine, made in 2000.

It DOES look like there are some scratches and scrapes on the outside though, along with something stuck onto the inside bottom panel towards the right.

More opinions on its condition are welcome..

Thank you so much Hyacinth! Appreciate your expertise--I learn something everyday! Have a great evening!

Thank you! The condition does concern me. I was hoping I could give it a little love to make it look better.

I agree with Hyacinth that silver hardware often looks gold in photos. What concerns me is the price tag just says Black. In the past when most hardware was brass, they would put silver/black or nickel/black on the tag if it wasn't brass. There was another listing for a black with brass bag here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-Coach-A...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 but the seller doesn't show a picture of the price tag. The seller of the bag in question actually states the color code is SV/BK but that isn't what it says on the tag. Before purchase I would confirm with the seller that the hardware is actually silver.

It could just be the photos but I'm concerned this might have been treated with something. It looks a little shiny. As Hyacinth mentioned, it isn't vintage but bags made in 2000 are great quality.
