Hi everyone!

Im looking at these purses and were wondering if they were genuine!

Name: Vtg Coach Handbag Purse Bonnie Cashin 1970's Red Leather Clutch NYC USA
Item no: 171966784812
Seller: absolutelybetterpursedeals

I'm curious about another of the seller, absolutelybetterpursedeals 's sold (TWICE!) listings. It has a questionable prefix.

sold October 6:

That one is DEFINITELY fake.

I want to know how this ends as well, because is very fishy to me. The seller is from LA, I think (I might be wrong) that LA and NY/NJ are some of the areas with most fake markets.

Just as curiosity (because I will never be able to afford these high price purses, LOL), I checked the thread you mentioned, and two of those sellers are no longer registered users and the other two have no listings. Interesting that three started the same day and 1 with a week difference. They had many negatives, mainly on never shipping the items.

Any time you have apparently connected sellers or IDs and with serious problems after the sale, you can bet your last M&M that he/she/it are all the same scammer or group. It's more than fishy - if it was any more fishy it would have a hundred seagulls circling it overhead.

Congratulations to BeenBurned for spotting the serious problem with fake Swaggers as early as she did.

Going by the wallet details in your photo, I'm guesssing the wallet may be from the late 1990s?

And I agree about the black wallet from the thrift shop the poster is asking about. There's so much Not-Coach about those details that even having the same snap, if it does, means nothing, since Coach and probably dozens or hundreds of other manufacturers all bought snaps from the same hardware companies.

The way the edges are finished off is a red flag, there's no piping or edging that's folded over and stitched around the edge of the back of the flap. I've never seen a Coach wallet especially an Envelope style that didn't have that folded-over edge. And the inside details are totally unlike any Coach wallet I've ever seen.
Yes, my red wallet is from the late 90s. I don't know the exact style but it has a kisslock coin compartment that is similar to the continental clutch 4886 from 1997.

Some early Coach wallets of an envelope style did not have a folded over edge but they had a different type of stamp. I've seen a few up to the late 80s without a folded over edge.

The wallet we were asked to authenticate has too many questionable details.

I think it's fake? I emailed her and asked why she sells it for cheap when other stores sell it for either full price esp when macys is sold out for them. She says she buys it for cheap and sells it a Lil cheaper than dept. Stores. I don't know ladies I guess it's replica but we'll she when she posts pics if she posts pics thanks ladies! :D it'd be a shame to spend over 200 for a rep!!!

It's hard to tell when the wallet you just posted along with the small coin purses that have those snaps with the concentric circles can't actually be compared side-to-side. But I'm wondering if that snap is the same size as the "standard" (non-magnetic) snaps that were used by Coach in the 80s and 90s, or is that ringed snap a bit bigger? It seems like it's a bit oversized in the photos. Those little coin pouches are the only place I've ever noticed that snap. The normal size seems to be about 1/2 inch or 1.25cm in diameter at the widest point. Or maybe the ones on the coin pouches just look bigger because of the size difference of the pouches.

Oh well, ain't gonna worry about it. It's a gorgeous day, about 70 degrees and I'm enjoying the breeze! Hope you're having good weather and are nowhere near any of the wildfires! There's a burning smell in the air here too but I think it's just someone burning leaves. Still illegal, but it sure does make it smell like Fall!

I recently won this courier on eBay after having it authenticated on tPF. It's my first NYC and I was wondering if it's normal for some of the seams to look like this :

One is on the strap of the bag and one is on the side of it. They just look a little sloppy to me...or maybe I'm just nit picking. TIA for any feedback!!!

Love the smiley! We've had rain the last few days which is novel around here.

I don't have the red wallet anymore but I think the snap was a little larger.

It is a little sloppy but since they were done by hand, it is possible. I don't see any problems with the bag.

Comments: I won this auction and I think it's a Becket Zip. I received it and I've attached additional photos of the creed and the hardware/strap details. It looks authentic to me, but I just wanted to get the opinion of the experts. Thanks as always!

I definitely can not thank you enough ladies, because not only you educate us but also help us not to waste our money.

Not for some believe it or not. I have reported some of the fakes in Poshmark, when mentioned here and followed the comments, normally the seller gets all nasty (what I expect specially if they know they are selling fakes), but to my surprise a couple times I have seen buyers coming to their defense, saying that the fakes look good enough so they will buy them, really?
