Hello good morning, I want to sell this bag that I believe is authentic, but I need confirmation from the authenticators. TIA

Item: Coach Regina, style 9983 from 1995.

My pictures, if more are needed please let me know.

I also questioned the location of the Coach stamp and the contrast stitching, as well as the way the inside pockets are formed. I don't know if it just the picture but the left side pockets look narrower than the right. The way the center part is folded under doesn't look like normal wallet construction - usually when there is a double row of pockets, they are constructed as long pockets and then sewn down the center.

I found a similar snap in my files.

Going by the wallet details in your photo, I'm guesssing the wallet may be from the late 1990s?

And I agree about the black wallet from the thrift shop the poster is asking about. There's so much Not-Coach about those details that even having the same snap, if it does, means nothing, since Coach and probably dozens or hundreds of other manufacturers all bought snaps from the same hardware companies.

The way the edges are finished off is a red flag, there's no piping or edging that's folded over and stitched around the edge of the back of the flap. I've never seen a Coach wallet especially an Envelope style that didn't have that folded-over edge. And the inside details are totally unlike any Coach wallet I've ever seen.

Pre-Creed bags were never marked this way, were they? I've seen lots of fake Stews, but never with the gold cowhide stamp. My own bags are late 80's with grommets on the strap, so that's all I have for comparison. I know that many have had issues with this seller...

1- genuine. It might be a Basic Bag, style 9455 but the seller's length measurement is a bit shorter than how Coach describes it. It's NOT from the "Bonnie Cashin era" and was made years after she left Coach

2- looks like a genuine Chester Bag, style 9901, made around 1993.

3- genuine Willis Bag from 1998. Coach made some bags in Hungary in the later 1990s.

We just discussed this seller and this exact bag and the stamp a few days ago. Always remember to Search for the listing number before posting

We don't recommend the bag OR the seller.

Oops! My apologies, I should have taken the time to catch up on this thread or run a search before I posted. I was irritated and dashed that off as soon as I saw it. eBay has just been so slow recently, in removing reported listings, and it's especially frustrating when Power Sellers like this one consistently list fakes.

Seller chibacb

I don't recommend Poshmark (period!) but especially for a style as highly and well-faked as Swaggers.

In fact, I started a thread a while ago when I saw how scary-close the fakes were:
http://forum.purseblog.com/coach/warning-swaggers-912206.html

Since Poshmark is unresponsive to reports of fakes, I don't recommend that site at all. I can state that not a single fake I've reported to them (through their "report listing") flag function has ever been removed. And I've reported many!!

Oh no! So is this bag a rep?? We corresponded through email and her price point is $297. She says genuine leather but Idk how to authenticate it myself.. /:

I depend on the knowledgeable ladies here for my purchases, but when buying new Coach items I keep on mind these two facts.

1) Is it the only bag the seller has listed?
2) Are there many and all the time?

1) Seller might have changed their mind, got it as present and needs the money, etc... I would consider buying it.

2) Nobody sells to lose money, if they can get the bags on sale (first I do some research to see how much these bags went for), they could come at to the retail price or very little difference, so seller makes a lot of money and you do not really save. If these bags on sale were still more or less what seller asks for, then I doubt they are authentic, for that same reason... nobody sells to lose money and on PoshMark fees are 20%. Be careful ! :smile1:

Thank you! I think I'll pass on this. It looks like she has a couple by the pictures and they're sold out on macys on coach there full price /: argh! Thank you guys :)
My recommendation was to not buy from THAT site and THAT seller.

The seller shows pictures of 3 bags. Is it possible that she has 3 of a HTF and highly faked item? (ETA: Actually, she shows 4 bags in photo #2.)

Lets see if she posts the pictures that have been requested.

I'm curious about another of the seller, absolutelybetterpursedeals 's sold (TWICE!) listings. It has a questionable prefix.

sold October 6:

I want to know how this ends as well, because is very fishy to me. The seller is from LA, I think (I might be wrong) that LA and NY/NJ are some of the areas with most fake markets.

Just as curiosity (because I will never be able to afford these high price purses, LOL), I checked the thread you mentioned, and two of those sellers are no longer registered users and the other two have no listings. Interesting that three started the same day and 1 with a week difference. They had many negatives, mainly on never shipping the items.
