Thank you Hyacinth. I will remember the info on the Cs and lining color. Thank goodness didn't spend to much on it. :woohoo:

Remember, those red flags are for that particular Hamptons Weekend Patchwork line only. C linings in purses or accessories aren't always the sign of a fake, in fact many genuine items from the early and mid 2000 decade have C linings. But they also show up in a lot of fakes, and often in really cheap fabrics where the Cs are printed on instead of woven in, and in some color combinations like tan Cs on black that Coach never used.

And legally the store still owes you a refund or at least a credit, but that's a tough fake for almost anyone to spot. Those Patchworks are a favorite with counterfeiters, in fact most Patchwork styles are highly faked and should always be authenticated here first.

all genuine - Bridle Hobo, Madison Continental Clutch style 4474, and I can't answer about the Madison lining on the base but the stitching doesn't look very Coach-like, does it? Maybe Whateve can take a look. The bag was made in 1993.

I think the lining looks fine. The lining looks similar in the length of the stitches and the puckering to other Madisons.

Looks like the same bag (same pictures anyway), two different sellers.

seller: samam01
link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-8-x-8...her-handbag-/252106862936?hash=item3ab2bd7158

seller: cpm2325646
link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coach-8-x-8...nap-handbag-/381417006893?hash=item58ce39a72d

Comment: Made in Korea, according to Item Specifics.

Guaranty/Care card language is not native English.

"How to serve the COACH:
1. Dry it in the shadowy place as it is likely to be deteriolated (sic) if you expose it to sunlight or fire when it is wet by water.
2. When it has scar or stained to abrade softly by a cotton cloth with wax a little."

Pretty sure it's fake but want to be 100% sure before I report. Thank you.

Same seller with 2 different IDs listing the same fake. That brown and gold Coach tag is a red flag. Korean fakes often have it and a similarly colored box for fake keychains and wallets.

I posted links to 2 lists of commonly-used fake Coach serial numbers earlier. I recommend that you Save the links that are posted here by clicking on them right from my post and saving the URL of the actual pages. You can't directly copy a link from a Purseforum post after it's been shortened once.

The 0974-534 serial number is on both lists and is always fake.

Also in the fake you have, the word in the creed should be "scarS", not "scar". REAL Coach creeds don't have mis-spelled words or incorrect grammar or punctuation. And "glove tanned" should be two words.

And if anyone needs more proof, here are recent Completed listings and there are AT LEAST SIX FAKE BAGS WITH THAT 0974-534 FAKE SERIAL NUMBER, ALL OF THEM DIFFERENT STYLES.

I rest my case.

LOL that word SCAR was the first thing I noticed and the lack of country of origin
I didn't even look any further
Wow I love this place:heart:
and everyone here Rocks

WATCH OUT FOR FAKE "SHERIDAN" BAGS AND WALLETS FROM KOREA. We've seen many fakes copying that line, including one I received myself many years ago. Here are a few photos of the Korean POS that the seller - HAS TO BE the same person - had the b@lls to ask almost 400 DOLLARS for -do NOT buy from either cpm2325646 or samam01
