Because the serial number in the fake green "Willis" that you asked about is 0974-534. And that number is right in the first part of the Fake Coach Numbers lists under "always fake".
"0974-534 - has shown up in many fakes of classic leather styles. Any creed stamp with this number is probably fake and needs to be looked at very closely by an expert on older Coaches"

I saw the serial number on the thread u shared. But it says most probably fake. Not 100%, thus we were asked to get it checked closely by expert like u guys. If I see any other Coach bags with numbers listed in the thread, I don't know what I should do in future. Totally ignore those bags? Or Requesting help again....which might seemed like I didn't do my homework if they turned out to b fake again! I am worried Authenticators may think I take them for granted for that reasons. [emoji17] Sorry I can't express myself or explain well enough in English

Since you're only allowed to use 100 letters and spaces in your report, you have to keep it short and stick to the basics. In this case - "fake turnlock padding, misspelling, always-fake serial number on Ebay Fakes List"

That list was written over a year ago and since then it's been very obvious that it's always fake. Even if Coach ever actually used that number it would have been used ONLY on one individual bag, all others have to be fake.

The odds of finding a genuine bag with one of the fake numbers are slim to none since the crooks didn't pay attention to matching the number sequence to the sequence that Coach was using on real bags during the time period the fake was supposed to have been made. It's extremely unusual to find a fake all-number serial that would have been in the correct sequence and format that Coach would have been using in the genuine version during the right time period.

Add in the crappy NOT-padding on the turnlock and the creed misspelling and there's no doubt. But it's still always best to ask here and be sure before reporting since we sometimes find new information and new examples of real or fake bags, and ALWAYS check that list before buying!

We discussed this same serial number earlier. It is on the fakes list. The inside pocket zipper is wrong. The bag is fake.
