Hi everyone! I saw a note to repost if a request gets lost in the sauce. I hope I'm not breaking any rules here, please let me know if so!! I'm unhealthily obsessed with this bag and hope to get it for myself with my first bonus.

Authentic IMO. More opinions welcome.

Good evening authenticators. I’m curious about the authenticity of these two listings. I remember that the 65th Anniversary line of bags had a cool rainbow-striped satin lining but these have blue (1st one) and pink (2nd one) lining. Thanks for the help.

Hi authenticators,

I purchased this bag today at a local thrift store. Measures about 10in x 2in x 6in (rounding up).

These are MFF (made for factory) versions of these styles, made a year or two later. They aren't made with the same type of leather or lining. There may be other differences. I can't read the creed on the first one so I can't authenticate. The second one looks okay.

FWIW, Poshmark seller #1 michelleneum703 sold several fake Dooneys and a fake Coach.

Do you really want to do business with a seller who mixes?

Apologies for bumping anyone and for asking this question in this thread. I'm not sure where else to post it since it is technically authentication-related.

Just out of curiosity, is it common for the creeds to be different for the same model type? Specifically, the Casino 9924 shown here in a few variations (NOTE: all creeds are from authenticated bags):

J4D 9924 (1).jpeg J4D 9924(2).jpeg
Casino bags from 1994 with 'older' creeds - both with the same date, plant and model stamp codes, yet somehow do not appear to be identical (in font style).

B5D 9924.jpeg K5D 9924.jpeg
Casino bags from 1995 with 'newer' creeds.

Screen Shot 2024-06-10 at 11.54.18 AM.png
Sample of an 'older' creed on an 80s bag where 'Leatherware' still appears below the Coach name. Does this only apply to older creeds for bags in the 80s and not anything beyond that like the first 2 Casino bags from the 90s (above)?

Thanks for sharing your knowledge with me

Each individual PLANT has their own individual creed and serial number stamps. The only thing that 2 bags of the same style MIGHT have in common is the same creed WORDING identifying the materials used in the bags, IF they were made in the same plant, month and year, and even then there can be small differences that we've verified and collected photos of over the years. Coach also changes details frequently and replaces worn stamps when needed.

Without actually having an extensive library of photos saved and indexed by year, plant and month including the occasional production and stamping mistakes it's impossible for anyone without that kind of resource or without the photographic memory of a JEOPARDY! champion to authenticate Coach bags accurately. We don't recommend that sellers and collectors try to do it on their own. Many if not most paid authentication services don't have the resources or the knowledge to do it either.

Information about creeds, serial numbers and other details often used in authenticating can be found in the Salearea Guides, the link is Pinned in the "STICKY THREADS" section at the top of almost every page in this thread.
