They are all fine.

I came across an interesting Coach item. Leather gloves with removable cashmere liners. How do they look? Thanks! Attaching my own photos, including inner tags. The tag is snipped. Is that something Coach did? I also suspect these are men's gloves. Opinions appreciated!

They are authentic.

And yes, they cut tags, sometimes slicing it down the middle, sometimes cutting a corner off, sometimes removing a sizable portion of the label.

I believe it was done as a way to indicate that the items were liquidated and removed from the outlet stores and sent to discounters. It's how they know not to accept requests for returns at the outlet. (My own items came from TJ Maxx and Marshalls.)

Hi ladies,

I've been getting more and more addicted reading up on everything Coach here. Could I please get your help to authenticate these 4:

1) Item: Coach 9950 Janice's legacy
Listing No. : 405000285365
Seller, site: Digger-Camera, eBay
Link: https://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/4050002...8vfDqvURMq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Comments: I rmb reading here that no factory had transitioned to the new typical '1994 onwards' creed with the style number and made in... in the wordings until after 1994. But this has Leatherware under the Coach logo so I'm checking if this is legit

2)Item: Coach 9525 stewardess
Listing No. : 315212127158
Seller, site: MS_Japan7, eBay
Link: https://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/3152121...8vfDqvURMq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Comments: I'm aware that brass/brass plated hardware on Coach in the 90s can discolour, but can it really turn colour this badly such that the base hardware is almost like pure silver in colour?

3) Item: Coach 9027 mini ergo

Listing No. : 315411388186

Seller, site: MS_Japan7, eBay

Link: https://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/3154113...8vfDqvURMq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

4) Coach 9525 stewardess
Sold at a thrift store in Japan
(Pics attached)
Comments: My friend is in Japan right now and came across this stewardess bag. He wanted to get it for me but obviously, I wanted pictures. The store owner didn't allow him to take pics but provided these few pics for him to send to me. Any thoughts?

Thank you so very much in advance :)

Hello again!

I’m hoping you wouldn’t mind taking a look at some hangtags for me despite the fact that I unfortunately can’t provide useful source information—I genuinely have no idea where most of them came from anymore. I know one was in a keychain pile at a church thrift store, another from a destroyed bag from which I harvested hardware + this tag, one was from my first vintage Coach bag (a Willis gifted by my sister), and some were taken from project bags to be used on tag-less but otherwise ready bags. I did buy one individually but don’t know which it was anymore because the listing is gone and the photo in my purchases section is too tiny to offer a useful comparison to figure it out.

All that being said, I would like to avoid gifting or selling a good bag with a fake tag if I can. I’d love it if you could tell me what you think, but I understand if not, course!

Thanks, as always.

Notes: #1 is the only one I have with sealed edges like that. I don’t know if someone did that later or if it’s normal for later bags or something, but it’s an outlier among my tags. #4 has always been suspicious to me because it’s quite stiff. #5 is split and needs fixing. #6 is starting to split.

Ugh! Hangtags can be tricky because they're very easy to copy and fake.

This is my opinion from what I see. Other opinions are VERY welcome! (Those that I say "look wrong" are (IMO) fake.)

1. seems okay IMO
2. seems okay IMO
3. seems okay IMO
4. looks wrong to me.
5. looks wrong to me.
6. seems okay IMO
7. looks wrong to me.
8. seems okay IMO
9. No opinion - not sure.

Yeah—makes sense that they’d be easy to fake. I just hoped to sift out any clear phonies if I could. This is very helpful. Also, I realized I mixed up a number in my notes. It’s #7, not #4 that I found suspiciously stiff.

Happy Friday! Hoping to get help confirming authenticity on the vintage coach purse located in the following link please.

Appreciate any feedback, thanks so much!!

My opinions are based on the numbered pictures, NOT your comment about how it feels. Since I can't feel it, the shape, construction and details are what's important to me to make a judgement call.

Hello lovely authenticators,

Could someone please check out the bags below?

Additionally -- is there an actual difference between burgundy and wine, if anyone knows? Or is that just the sellers describing best they can? Thank you all so much!

All three are authentic. The official color name was wine. Both of the last two are the same color. The last one probably just looks lighter due to flash. The color IRL is like the pictures of the second listing.
