IMPORTANT READ-ME

Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.
For further information, please refer to the first post on page 1 of this thread.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Listing number:
    Seller and site where listed
    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

Just an FYI, they post the CoA with the Qcode on it which usually has a full picture of the creed. #2 and #3 do have creed pictures. No idea if real or not and I am on my desktop otherwise I would post them for you.

That said, I have seen the CoAs on GW marked authentic and the bags were not authentic in any way. Like very obviously, made in Korea level of obvious, fake bags. So don't rely on those, especially if the bag is spendy. They will not refund you if they have a CoA but the bag is fake. I've taken a few risks on like $20 bags but if it's $200, check here and risk someone else seeing your bag.
Maybe the QR code does take you to a site with more pictures, but personally, I don't click on links unless I know and trust the site.

If sellers want to purchase COAs from companies, those sellers need to show outsiders the pictures that are needed for US to verify authenticity. We shouldn't have to nor be expected to go to some company's website to determine if they are right in their opinions.

ETA: Ebay allows sellers to upload 24 pictures to listings so there's no reason that every picture isn't added to the listing.

Oh I agree with you. They should be posting it on the auction listing. It is lazy AF to not do so.

I was just giving a FYSA because people don't know the Qcode will link to more pictures.

Hello authenticators! I bought a red vintage Coach Ergo 9033 bag before checking its authenticity. I wanted to see if you all could help me again. It looks authentic. Please let me know if possible.

I'm sorry for not including it. I thought the listing was gone when something has been bought. Yes, that's the link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2355523581...&campid=5335828332&customid=&siteid=0&mkevt=1

Thank you for including it.

Hi again! For this one, I'm just plain curious because it raises so many questions. It looks like a Coach Dinky 9375 but apparently the straps were remade as per seller's comments. I'm just not sure how it could have been remade so well if it really is an authentic piece. Can I please get it authenticated? Thank you in advance, as always :)

Greetings! This thread is always such a rabbit hole for me! I just searched for Coach water buffalo to see examples of what the leather looks like and among other things found one of my pics used as an example of an authentic bag (completely unrelated to water buffalo but on the same page from 2019) and it made me smile. I love this group even if I haven't been on here much the past couple of years (major life event dealing with my aging mother). Anyways...

Could someone please authenticate this passport holder for me? I've seen several listings for the same/similar item and some say water buffalo leather -- which I'll admit it seems smoother (and maybe a bit tougher?) than the usual Coach leather and the color is not the typical mahogany brown. 5 1/2" x 4 1/2"IMG_3799.JPGIMG_3800.JPEGIMG_3801.JPEGIMG_3802.JPG

It's genuine, made in 1997.

It looks fine but I can't say for sure whether or not it's water buffalo.

Photos my own.
Last time I missed out on another bag so decided to take a chance.
Think it's OK but I always like to get the experts opinions.

Thank you.20240613_124747.jpg20240613_124814.jpg20240613_125928.jpg20240613_125942.jpg
