It looks good! Great price! In my experience, the creed patches were used on later (90s and later) versions of these. None of them should ever have a serial number. This is probably the same lavender released in the ergo around 1998.
Thank you - so glad it's authentic! I'm looking forward to seeing the lavender color and hope it will clean up ok. I wish it had the hangtag - probably a near impossibility to find.

Hello! I’m brand new here, and learned I cannot post my own thread. So I’m guessing I just reply to this? I recently purchased this Coach Tea Rose Small Appliqué Dinky (Rouge/Black) off eBay. Noticed it’s missing the letter “R” on the creed for the very last word (number). I’ve had several knowledgeable folks review this, most siding with authentic. I need to know as I am a reseller, and authenticity is very important to me… plus, if it’s fake, I need to return it to get my money back! As for the link for the original listing… for some odd reason, I go to my orders, click on the item, and when I copy & paste the link, it loads a different bag from a different seller (but a Coach Rogue Tea Rose). So I hope I’m including enough details for you to help. The sellers eBay username is Laura Jo-39. She has sold a handful of other Coach tea Rose bags, and has 100% feedback. I’ve owned ~50 dinky bags and several were tea rose, and this bag didn’t alert me in anyway until the missing letter in the creed. So here’s as much info I can provide as requested:
From eBay:
Item#: 186155915620
Seller: laurajo-39
Link (it takes you to a different listing even though I am getting this from my eBay order history): https://www.ebay.com/itm/1861559156...aXT7MBtRXm&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Please, please, let me know if you need any additional pics or information. I know there are some creed error bags, so I don’t want to assume it’s fake when the rest looks / feels real.

You are smart not to trust Goodwill's authentication service as they make lots of mistakes. In this case, they got it right. Your hubby did good. It's authentic. It's probably a Monterey Hobo in ivy, made in the early 90s. We have a rehab thread if you are interested: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/coach-rehab-and-rescue-club.833400/

The online listing doesn't have all of the photos requested in the pinned post so I was going to hold off until it arrived. Would it be ok to start with just the listing information and then update with more pictures it if needed once the bag is delivered?

I definitely learned that it's not smart to trust what google spits out, a lot of it just contradicted itself. I've gotten more information in a couple of days on here than I think I ever would have found otherwise! I was curious if there are any specific threads here that you think would be especially helpful, I accidentally spent a few hours looking through the vintage catalog thread when you linked it in another reply and it was a great time.

Regarding only what's posted here on tPF - be careful that you're reading up to date posts and information. Some posts can be 10 or 15 years old and details and confirmed information can have changed since then, and Coach changes details constantly. There's no "one post covers all Coaches". It's best to narrow down your search fields before you start any deep digging. And learn to use tPF's Search effectively.

As for photos, we urge everyone to post a clear readable copy of the seller's (or their own) creed and serial number stamp photos with their ORIGINAL authentication request even if there's also a link to the listing in the post. Other than the front of the bag or item, thecreed and serial number photo is the most important one and the sooner we can view it, the sooner we can say if it's authentic or not.

Item: listing just says “Vintage Coach” no bag model stated in description either
Listing: on Mercari https://item.mercari.com/gl/m31097184137?sv=0
Seller: Lisa Zapata

Attached are all the pics from the listing. Would love to know if this is authentic and if so what kind of bag it is - thanks in advance!

Hello authenticators!

Item: Coach 4115 Flap Shoulder Bag Leather Blue
Listing number:315125884624
Seller and site where listed:nakata-0427 on eBay
Link: Link here
Comments: thank you!
The Whitney bag is authentic, however the seller nakata-0427 (store name ARISTO.Japan) had a listing of a fake Legacy zip with a serial number, JIG-9966. (It's no longer active.)
