This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:
  • FOR ITEMS LISTED ONLINE:

    Link:
    Comments:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:
    Where purchased or how obtained
    Comments:
BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item

  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

We definitely need to see the bag with the US creed and Z plant code.

And although it's not in the"READ ME" instructions, it's also very helpful if you can post a copy of the seller's creed and serial number photo(s) even if you're also posting a link to the listing. My ancient computer can't open most listing photos.
Thank you.
Thanks so much. I will definitely post a copy of all of this info in the future. Since I learned from perusing the threads that the first seller has sold at least one fake and BeenBurned advised that the other 2 have also sold fakes, I won't be buying any of them. I also looked at the Z plant one after the fact and felt silly b/c after comparing it to (what I believe to be) a photo of a real Abbie, I see it isn't even the same shape. Here are photos of it either way. It's mostly rubbed off but he commented that it's B2Z-9017.

Good morning! I’m gently bumping this. I posted this late and night and think it may have been overlooked? Completely fine if it’s just a not-frequently-seen bag and needs more time, but I wanted to check. Thank you!

It seems genuine, but I can only see the main photo. Posting a copy of sellers' creed and serial photos would be a big help since my computer can't open them in any listings. If the seller posted a photo end of the strap it would be good to see that too, there may be extra holes punched in it.

It's definitely fake, sorry. So far I don't think we've ever seen a genuine US-made Coach with a Z plant code. Z was only used for the Dominican Republic and later, for China. The serial number spacing is also waaaaaay off.

Dear authenticators,

I have a small coin purse my friend is looking to sell but I have not seen one with this type of kisslock hardware. Please kindly advise.

Hello authenticators!! I was looking on Ebay for a nice restoration bag and I came across this Blue/Teal Coach shoulder bag. I did a little research and it looks like the last 4 digits(9390) on the creed belong to another style bag,A vintage school bag?? I’m not sure what bag is legit . Can you take a look at this listing please? Thank You!

Another PM listing for a coin purse. Style name, number, year, photo etc if available please. Thanks for taking a look at it.

Item: EUC Black Leather Coach Card Holder Coin Purse
Seller: karlacrawford

I had also requested at about the same time info for the above listing. Can you provide thoughts, info, etc? Thank you!
I'm a bit late on this but the style number for it is 4768 and it was called Embossed multi function (case). (The tag didn't have "case" in the name.)

Thank you for the FS4768 tag photo. Any idea about what timeframe this multi function was released or available?

Good evening! Can this bag please be authenticated? Thank you!

Item: Preowned Navy Coach Sheridan Elliot
Listing number: 63fd1f6991e053b43a910944
Site: Poshmark
Seller: erinabucks

Comments: Does this look navy or might this be black? It says navy and that’s what I’d prefer, but it’s so dark I can’t tell! Is this very similar to the Station, just with different pockets?

erinabucks and her listings are prime examples of why I have a problem with Poshmark (and by extension, sellers on that site.)

The bag being questioned IS authentic, however ERINABUCKS's other listing, also claiming to be a "Coach Sheridan" bag is a blatant fake that had erinabucks done even the most basic research, she'd have figured it out.

This is fake:

ETA: The color of the first one looks navy to me.

I don't know whether this is a previously unseen error. @Hyacinth and @whateve might have ideas.

But the bag shown in the ebay listing is definitely authentic and appears to be some type of Chelsea bag.

Off to do a bit of digging.

ETA: No info gleaned from digging!

ETA again!! found it!!

"PREVIOUSLY unseen error"? Ah BB, you wound me deeply. :crybaby:

In my text files of Coach style numbers 0 thru 9999, here's my entry(s) for 9390:

"9390 - CHELSEA NUBUC TURNLOCK DEMI 7X6 fall 2004
also
9390 - school bag clutch, top handle, no strap, vint., sim. to 9695 School Bag, 1984-85?
"The bag measures 9x13. No hooks on the sides. It has two big sections and one zippered in the middle."
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...ost-for-format.889527/page-5078#post-35312019.
There may also have been a slightlydifferent version #9515 with a strap that clipped to the handle mounts w dog-leash clips
similar styles: 9390, 9515, 9695, 9630"

In my photo files the 9390_CHELSEA NUBUC TURNLOCK DEMI-d2 was copied into my image files from the old drilldown on Oct 7,2008.

The School Bag styles were discussed in posts here back on September 2 and 3 of 2022, which is when I entered the vintage School Bag Clutch graphic into my files:

The subject of another bag with the same style number, which Coach has done at least a dozen times that I'm aware of, never came up in the discussion but I noted it in my files when I entered the info on the vintage School Bag(s)into my text files,so it wasn't completely unseen, just unmentioned.

BTW, is posting in the forums REALLY slow today for anyone else? It's like molasses in January.

I am appropriately ashamed and embarrassed.

Congratulations! It's a genuine Courier Pouch from the late 1970s or very early 1980s. I hope she loves it!
