Sonoma Flat Pack Sling Nubuc (4944) in Sage - K5M-4944
eBay purchase years ago. To my delight, I found the (presumably) original papers & cleaning kit inside—the seller hadn’t even mentioned them. In any case, the listing is long gone. According to my records, the seller was emmystheiftshop.
Measurements: 16.5" x 8.5" x 5.5"

Measurements: 8.5" (across the bottom) x 7.5" (with bag closed) x 3.75" —let me know if I should take those measurements in other places than where I have.

1. The first listing from Japanese seller chatran is authentic but I urge caution when buying from that seller and any other Japanese sellers.

Although there was a time that we rarely saw fakes coming out of Japan, times have changed and although Japan has strict anti-counterfeiting laws, they either aren't applying them or they don't have brand experts who can correctly verify authenticty.

Japanese sellers seem to have an endless supply of Korean-made fake "vintage" bags as well as a plethora of fake newer bags with Disney, Peanuts, Nasa and other themed styles.

Caveat emptor!

For the next 2 listings on you asked about from Poshmark, I (personally) generally refuse to authenticate and promote the site and its sellers because in so many instances, neither Poshmark nor the sellers end listings of known and reported fakes. In fact, many sellers who've been kicked of ebay after being restricted or banned have gone to Poshmark, presumably because they're more apt to get away with peddling fakes there.

However I do comment on occasion and I look at sellers' other listings.

2. Poshmark itshadrian

I believe the bag you asked about is okay although I'd like other opinions. However itshadrian has listed and/or sold (knowingly or not) fakes.

I started with these b/c they were the ones that both looked to be in very good condition and also had one more details I found questionable. It's hard b/c most of the light colored bags in EUC/VGUC w/ original hang tag under $350 (i.e. affordable for me) are on Poshmark.

Is it bad etiquette for me to ask about PM in the future? Or just assume my request may be refused? Also, was I correct in being suspicious of the "Z" code for a U.S. bag? I haven't been able to find a list of U.S. plant codes but I'm still very new to all of this. Thank you so much again for your help. I sincerely appreciate your time and willingness to share your knowledge.

Of the three authenticators, I'm the one with the strongest aversion to PM. @whateve and @Hyacinth often choose to authenticate PM listings although TPF rules allow us to ignore requests if we have issues with the site, seller or seller history.

Certainly post your requests if that's where the listings are and if they choose to comment, they will.

Not an authenticator, but looking at the catalog pic the color choices are black, mocha, tabac, British tan, burgundy, navy, or putty. I'm going to vote for "putty."

The third one would have been called a Canterbury, the name wasn't changed to Nottingham until early 1994, according to my catalogs.

We definitely need to see the bag with the US creed and Z plant code.

And although it's not in the"READ ME" instructions, it's also very helpful if you can post a copy of the seller's creed and serial number photo(s) even if you're also posting a link to the listing. My ancient computer can't open most listing photos.
