Can anyone help me authenticate this bag? I got it from a very reliable source that I've gotten countless authentic bags from. I know it's a Coach swingback messenger bag and some of these don't have serial numbers in them. It doesn't have any paper tags inside either. Just the creed with no serial number. I've read it could also be a sample bag or used for promotional photo shoots. Let me know if you think it's authentic or not. Thank you!!

Looks good to me. It was probably just called a Sig Optic or Optic Signature Swingpack, my guess would be that itwas made roughly between 2003 and 2007

Sorry about that. I did not know that sold items don't show up. I bought it earlier, but I am still able to cancel if fake. As I have learned my lesson and will not buy any bag unless verified.

Here are the photo's from the ads. It is a golden bag and a navy blue one. Thanks as always for your expertise.
Those 2 bags you've shown pictures of are authentic.

I have notified the seller I do not accept the purchased bag and want to discontinue the transaction. The seller of the fake G4D-9927 has agreed, so I will receive a refund from Vinted (buyer protection arrangement). She says she did not know it was fake. And she does not want the bag returned to her.

What to do with the fake bags: views welcome: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/coach-hall-of-shame-post-coach-fakes-here.824098/post-35895638

Thanks authenticators for your expertise.
I made suggestions on the HOS thread.

Here's a better view of the creed

FYI, it's definitely not a sample or promotional bag. Many smaller (accessories) items including swingpacks, wristlets, wallets, etc. may or may not have creeds and those with creeds may or may not have serial numbers.

Your swingpack is one that has a creed but no serial number.

I purchased this bag from a Facebook contact: Debra Cole. It was authenticated for sale on FB, but I hope it’s ok I’m checking here? I trust you guys!

I can’t find the original listing. I saw it a few months ago and reached out via Messenger, then reached out again recently and the seller sent me photos, which are included below.

If this is real, this is a Shoulder Purse #9385, right? And, I know it’s older, but any idea when this might have been made?

Thank you!

Genuine. The Shoulder Purse seems to have disappeared from the catalog inventory by late 1987.

Thank you so much, Hyacinth! This is a bucket list bag for me — I love the size and the interior kisslock — and I rarely see them at a not-insane price so I’m thrilled!

So 1987 or before means this bag might be as old as me, lol. The history of these vintagr bags… I wish I knew where it had been!

Thank you again!
