If you read the thread pinned at the top of each indexed page in this Coach Shopping forum titled "Salearea Guides" you'll find 6 Guides on everything from common and usually incorrect Coach myths to histories and explanations of Coach creeds and serial numbers. All your questions on those subjects including the "missing" serial numbers from between 2014 and 2017 are probably answered there. Please read the entire 5-page thread, there's also a list of some of the most common fake serial numbers in vintage Coaches.

ETA - Without any small tags inside the bag showing the production codes it may be impossible for us or anyone else to accurately authenticate it. Be sure to actually feel along the seams and turn the inside pockets inside-out if possible.

Thank you so much for your response Hyacinth and all the time it must have taken for you to put the guides together . I am new to the forum and landed here from a Google search and hadn't seen the Sale Area threads, they were most helpful. After reading I'm erring on the side of the bag not being real  It does have a made in Vietnam tag inside but I've not been successful in locating the other one. I'll give it another go later and post some pictures but I'm not confident this one is the real deal
I believe there should be a tag in the very bottom of a pocket, lower left corner. You may (literally) have to turn the pocket inside out to find and photograph it.

If you post pictures, we may be able to offer a tentative opinion even if there's no tag/label. (See the post at the top of the page for the pictures needed.)

Here are pictures of the Swagger 27, I am fully bracing for it to be determined as not genuine but if anyone can tell or give a slight indication without the serial no, i'd be very grateful.

I made my previous post prior to seeing your pictures.

So far, I don't see any red flags. I see that you turned the zipped pocket inside out and there's nothing there.

Did you check the 2 open pockets?

The 3 pic down is the zipper pocket flipped out, I can't see any tags in there. I just readded the front, back and flipped out pocket to this one :) My other Swagger has the tag exactly where you described it but can't find anything on this one. The other pockets don't flip out :(

I know the open pockets don't turn inside out but I thought you might be able to feel around for a label.

If you can't find it or feel it, I can't give a definitive answer other than that I don't see problems but authenticity can't be proven.

The swagger pictures I have in my records have the tag inside the zipper pocket and those bags have a different (not satin) lining.

Sorry I can't be more definitive.

I can't flip those out unfortunately, I've rummaged in them as much as I can and can't feel anything
