Hi. I just found this forum since I purchased this Coach at my local thrift store this past weekend. Brought it home and cleaned it up a bit and I love it even more. I’ve been unable to determine what it is based on the serial number inside which is 061-0104. Any thoughts as to which style it is or if it’s even authentic? It’s measures 9.5”W x 7”H. Does not have a small white tag. Thanks for any input!

It's an authentic classic pouch 9170 made in the late 70s or 80s. There shouldn't be a white tag in a vintage leather bag.

Dear Authenticators,

Was the Rambler bag ever made in navy? If it was, then I trust this is a a genuine bag. Could you check please? Thank you!

Seller is: thepinkcloset8

Authentic. Probably made in the 1980s. Usually the navy color is very hard to distinguish from black. Navy was a valid color.

Hello Authenticators,
Item: Coach 9166
Listing number: N/A
Seller and site where listed:
  1. Seller hubb4less in Poshmark
  2. Seller antionette_8 in Poshmark

Comments:

I have found 2 more 9166s. First one is J9G - 9166 seems fine, cannot find anything suspicious and the second one J4G - 9166 has a bullseye stamp on the top right (of the creed) if I’m not mistaken… just wanted to run it by here as well for a second set of eyes since I don’t fully trust myself Thank you in advance!

Can you copy and post the sellers' photos of the creed stamp and serial number? Thanks!

ETA - But just as a warning showing why we never recommend buying from Poshmark sellers because the place is an absolute MINEFIELD of fakes...

the 9166 with the J4G- serial prefix may have what looks like an outlet stamp, but a genuine 9166 Legacy Drawstring will NEVER have a "4" year code indicating 1994 since the style wasn't even introduced until 2000. However, there's ONE big exception and that's for bags with a "4" year code made in Costa Rica. The plant there was forced to stamp a year code that was 10 years out of date (4 instead of 04) in bags made there in 2004.
I somehow fell way behind so I don't know whether this was answered. (I have catching up to do!!)

Both are fake.

Remember seller IDs in requests:

Politely Bumping and adding a these for ease.
Thank you.
(Sorry...I'm not a fan of marketplace and hate leaving sellers hanging)

Even when I'm signed into FB, their Marketplace listings don't work for me so maybe others have the same problem.

The photos you posted look good but please wait for more opinions.

Thank you...will remember for next time if I ever use it again.
I agree that it's fine.

Item: Mollie 22
Where purchased or how obtained: Vinted, my mom bought this bag for herself.
Comments: I am also curious how the three stitches on front and back look to the professionals. They seem a bit off to me?
Thank you.
