Please post authenticity questions related to COACH in this thread. No PMs please.

Please follow the following requests:
  • Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

There is a problem on the forum with some links taking you to random places. On page 667 of the "ID the Coach" thread, both bags were identified, which means they are authentic.

Try clicking on your own ID in one of your posts. That takes you to your Profile page. Then click on the Statistics tab, and then on "Find all posts by Rededfield". All your posts will show with the most recent ones at the top. Clicking on the top line in a post box should take you right to that post, if the forum software is working the way it should.

LOL! I thought I'd saved that picture of the kitchen but I couldn't find it.

I find listings gross when they take the pictures with the bag sitting on the toilet tank or seat. Ewww. :throwup:

I actually wanted an authentication for a bag the other day, but looking at the pictures of the purse on the kitchen counter with the strap danging onto the trash can, I decided not to bother...

Please authenticate these instead:

1. authentic, probably a compartment bag.
2. fake

That's not a hangtag; it's a zipper pull and the bag is fake. Coach never used anything that looked like that. The font is wrong. They had metal rectangular zipper pulls in Sonomas that sort of looked like hangtags.

Did you ask the seller to post a creed photo? It looks like someone already asked but so far no response from the seller.

It MAY be ok but there's no way I would personally bid without a creed photo.

Not only is the number on the Fake Coach Serial Numbers List, but the Salearea Guide on Vintage and Classic Leathers also states that no classic leather Coaches were ever made with sewn-on cell phone holders.

You need to read and Save these Guides ASAP.
