Please follow the following requests:

• Before you submit a request for authentication, please search this thread to make sure that the item has not previously been authenticated by searching the seller ID and/or item number. Whateve did you say the purse was fake???...I'm sorry I'm new to this I don't really know to follow or check for replys

You should get an email if you get a reply to your request. Wait for one of the other authenticators who is more familiar with this style.

I don't see any problems with your bag. Coach no longer puts the number on the creed. Check inside the pocket. There should be a strip there with the serial number. A picture of that would be helpful. More opinions are welcome.

I think yours is probably fake because of the grooves in the turnlock.

This one is at least questionable. I think the imprint is too fuzzy.

I'm not sure about it either, the patent leather trim is unusual, although there is another one in Ebay's Completed listings. Please wait for BeenBurned

Yes, that's the white strip and it looks like it should. Unless you buy it yourself at the store, you can never be 100% sure, but I think your bag looks authentic.

Ladies:

I discovered this wonderfully informative forum this afternoon - unfortunately after I had already ordered and received what I now believe to be a possibly counterfeit Coach scout owing to the lack of a Registration Number on the creed. Can you verify whether it is indeed fake or authentic?

Not only is the number on the Fake Coach Serial Numbers List, but the Salearea Guide on Vintage and Classic Leathers also states that no classic leather Coaches were ever made with sewn-on cell phone holders.

You need to read and Save these Guides ASAP.

That's the best thing to do. I go back once a month and read them over again, just to keep things fresh in my mind.

Don't hesitate to ask us about anything you don't quite understand, and remember:

There are almost NO Rules that apply to every Coach all of the time - maybe three "permanent" rules at the most.

You can only directly compare the details of a Coach with another Coach of exactly the same style and style number. And especially with older bags, you can only compare creeds and serial numbers from bags made in the same plant, month and year.

Details of things like hardware, hangtags, creeds, serial numbers, etc, change constantly.

And most important - the most consistent thing about Coach is their inconsistency.

You can't get one from Coach. There are companies that make straps or you could watch ebay. Often people who don't use their straps end up selling them. The straps that came with this style have rings in particular places so the strap will hang around the edges of the bag when not in use. I have a few bags that are similar and I don't use the shoulder straps because I don't like the way it looks when they are on my shoulder. I like the way they look hanging down though. Sometimes I'll put the short handles on my shoulder. There are photos in the forum of Madison Sophia, which is the style of your bag.
