Sometimes it pays to take a chance. This time it did not. I would like the opinion of an authenticator to back up my return case. Thanks so much. (The creed is unreadable)

Ouch! Wrong zipper pull, wrong font. That's all I can see with those pictures. You shouldn't have any problem getting a return approved for not as described.

Authentic Rambler's Legacy, not a Rambler. That is a correct creed for a 2005 bag made at that factory.

It's a genuine Rambler's LEGACY, style 9061, not a Rambler. They are 2 different styles, this style wasn't introduced until late 1998 and the one in the listing is a 2005 version made for the Factory Stores and has a 2005-format serial number.
From the website, 2004:

The Rambler Bag (no "Legacy") style 9735 was a vintage style and hasn't been produced for at least 20 years.
From the paper catalog, 1986:

Post a link to the listing and the seller's name.
Ebay seller name: Trishtreasurefinds

Original ebay listing : https://www.ebay.com/itm/1855203500...=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

in my original post, quoted below, I've added clearer pictures now that I've received the bag.

Thanks in advance for authenticating this for me. I really appreciate it :))

Hello,
I would appreciate if somebody can authenticate this Willis bag for me. It was an ebay purchase. It's 10.5 inch long, 10 inch tall and 3.5 inch deep. Thank you so much!

I've been lurking for a while and admiring the amazing information on here.
Just wanted to say thanks.
There was a Willis I saw on Mercari, but as a Canadian, I couldn't set up an account. Are there any truly reputable sites, or are they hit and miss?
Some sites are better at policing and responding to various reports of fakes and/or fraud and some sellers know which sites allow them to complete transactions that other more responsive sites would removed.

I've found Poshmark and Etsy to be the worst when it comes to removing fakes when they're reported and many of the sellers there attack the messenger when told that they're selling fakes.

Ebay, Tradesy, Mercari and Bonanza are (IMO) offer the best responses to reports although they often take multiple reports before a site will remove the listing.

I trust you authenticators more than Mercari. Although curious, if there is any knowledge on their process.

Item: Coach tabby 26
Listing number: couldn’t find one on Mercari

Seller: lizzmore92; Mercari

Thanks for any insights you all can provide!
I believe the bag is okay (based on the pictures of the actual item). Some of the pictures shown in lizzmore92's listing (pictures #1, 4 and 5) are Coach's copyrighted images. What I don't understand is that if the seller is able to take the other pictures of the actual item, why not also take pictures of the back of the bag and the interior, rather than stealing Coach's work.

I don't know much about their authentication process. Anything a seller lists $300 and over has to be authenticated. I believe it just involves someone at Mercari looking at the listing pictures before the item is listed. I don't think there is any in person authentication.

Poshmark's authentication service kicks in at $500 but involves actually physically sending the bag to their authenticators. After it is deemed authentic, it is forwarded to the buyer.
