Hello authenticators. I spotted this on the Goodwill site but have read () that a creed serial number with just two letters to the left of the hyphen indicates a fake. Would you mind taking a look? Thank you very much for your expertise.
Item: Coach Blue Leather Bucket Purse
Listing number: 150672662
Seller and site where listed: Shopgoodwill.com
Link: https://shopgoodwill.com/item/150672662
Comments: If the bag is authentic, I might bid for it. If it's fake, I would like to warn the seller.

You're correct. The bag is fake. TN and NT prefixes are only on fake items.

You can try warning the Goodwill site but don't hold your breath while waiting for them to end the listing and dispose of the item.
In fact, shopgoodwill on its own site as well as various ebay locations regularly sell fakes, many with inaccurate "COAs" included. Goodwill puts too much faith in the infallibility of the services they use and deny that items are fake.

I'll try to be optimistic that they respond appropriately this time.
Thank you, BeenBurned. I will contact Goodwill. The rest is up to them.

Thanks again @whateve for authenticate this bag, but I most likely won’t receive it. In case anyone else who might wondering why so many listings of the same bag from different Japanese sellers, I can’t say it for sure but a high possibility is just scamming.

In the listing it said shipping within 5 to 15 business days, it was paid on July 29th, it finally marked as shipped on Aug 21st. But no tracking number provided, the seller sent me a message the same day to inform me it was shipped and “tracking number is: “, she left the space for tracking number vacant.
I sent her 2 messages 2 days apart to inquire about the tracking numbers, got no response for days. Together with other red flags such as multiple listings, unreasonable long time to just ship out a bag, so by the end of 4th day I opened an “ Item not received case”. Seller responded the open case immediately, said she forgot to get a shipping confirmation with the shipping company, she contacted them and will get the number in a business day, then she asked me to close the case and wait.
She is a long time seller so definitely know once a case is closed, it can not be reopened again for any reason, another huge red flag asking buyer to close the case before issue is resolved (of cause I ignored her request and told her I will close it once received the actual bag). The latest message from her indicate DHL will be investigating what happened but will take time for a formal investigation. Still no tracking number. I plan to ask EBay to step in on Sep 1st, and asking for refund. Just glad it is eBay transaction that a purchase is protected.

I believe seller is scamming, I only noticed the multiple listings after the purchase, quite possitive she changed the quality to two with one being sold after I contacted her with another identical listing ( usually uable to edit a sold listing but maybe she has a way?), she waited 15 businesse days ( minus weekends and Japanese holiday) to mark it as shipped, buyers with lots of eBay purchase may lose track what’s coming, then asked me to close the case before issue resolved.

She had 100% positive feedbacks at time of my purchase, now she has 3 negative all in past month, wondering if those negative feedbacks will disappears in future ( maybe she knows how to, many of the feedbacks listing titles are not available )

Another warning about “free shipping “ from overseas, it may be free or very cheap for seller if they use DHL, DHL will just add the cost into “Custom Duty Tax”, as a service fee to collect the Tax. It is not free for buyer. I once had a bag ordered from Europe, it is delivered by DHL with ridiculous service fee for Custom Tax. I can’t even refuse it as the return shipping is very expensive and will be deducted from the refund.
That's terrible! I hope everyone will note that seller natsuyo_japan is not recommended.

I have bought things from Japanese sellers and received the items in the US in 2 days, which is amazing. There are some good Japanese sellers.

Thanks @whateve, I should include seller ID myself. I bought from great Japanese sellers in the past too and very happy with those purchases.

I recently purchased two separate NWT Coach bags. One from Mercari and the other from Vestiaire Collective. They came similarly packaged with all of the tissue paper and wrappings. The bags also look very authentic themselves upon full inspection. What stumped me, however, were the tags and dust bags. The tags are different (attaching photos). The dust bags feel slightly different to the touch (one is made in China and the other in Vietnam) and both have some uneven and loose stitching on the inside.

Are these tags authentic and is it possible that Coach dust bags can have imperfect stitching on the inside?

Pictures of the bags, links to listings and seller IDs are necessary to give opinions of the bags.

A tag, genuine or fake isn't necessarily indicative of authenticity of the bag it's on. Genuine tags can be attached to fakes (as can hangtags) in an attempt to fool and conversely, a seller might attach a fake tag or incorrect tag to a genuine item but that doesn't mean the tag is authentic nor does it mean that the tag goes with the bag it's on.

Another consideration is that sometimes, replacement tags are made by Coach at their stores to replace a missing tag. Replacement tags sometimes look different from the original tag that came from the factory.

In order to offer even a possible opinion about the tags, we need to see and authenticate the bags they came with. please post the listings and pictures of the bags. (If the necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to add them to the post.)

Hi Authenticators! Thrilled to have found this resource and so appreciative for your dedication and help.

I have a few vintage coach bags I picked up at an estate sale. I've done a ton of research, but I am in no way an expert. Could you pretty please weigh in and let me know if you think they are authentic?

Bag #1: Murphy 1990's(?) - J8H-9930
9" tall x 7" length
