BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.

• Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
• Made in tags (when available)
• Measurements
• For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
• For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
• If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Although we aren't allowed to promote our own items, it's my understanding that if there's a question of authenticity of one of our own items, we're allowed to post it here. I received a message from a buyer who wants to return a bag.

Her comment was "Why would you think this is a Coach purse? Its not. I need to return it please. This has no characteristics of a Coach, and the tag doesnt belong on this purse, the inside is different the leather is different sorry need to return it."

If it's a remorse return, I have no issue with accepting but to be accused of either selling a fake or using a hangtag to imply "Coach" is painful.

If it's reassurance she wants, perhaps a look here by the other authenticators will give her comfort. (I did respond to the dispute, even showing other listings for the same bag including one of the same color with the same hangtag.)

Please help verify. TIA.

It's definitely authentic. I've always been worried about this happening with smaller items that don't have any Coach markings.

What you are looking for is the watched threads list. It is under the forums tab in the header. Click on the down arrow and you'll see the menu.

I’m so disheartened because it seems like there’s so many fakes anymore, I haven’t bought anything for myself in a decade, it seemed impossible to find a Basquiat Rogue 25 for less than 500, so I wanted to settle for a Dempsey. Can anyone tell me if this is authentic?

Please read the READ ME post at the top of each page and include ALL the required information ESPECIALLY all the info and URLs for the listing itself, the seller's name and site ID, and any other required details. Coach bags are highly faked and Basquiat fakes seem to be common. There's one detail in your photos that worries me very much.

Where is the seller located?

We also strongly discourage anyone buying any item from any special collections such as Basquiat, Peanuts, Disney, etc from private sellers on sites or locations in Asia. Those should whenever possible be bought directly and in person from a physical Coach store, although we know that's often not possible with items no longer in production. And please don't be fooled by any websites or sellers that claim to be affiliated with Coach. Coach only partners with major department stores.

If you haven't actually bought the bag yet, PLEASE WAIT.

Maybe, but it's not a style I'm familiar with. If you want to give me a look, that's fine. It looks like Whateve gave a solid authentication. Wallets and smaller items aren't my favorites. Too few details and too many close fakes. And usually no creeds or serial numbers.
