VERY CLOSE BUT FAKE!

The back of the turnlock and the indentations for the prongs means it's a non-Coach piece of hardware, but the real proof that it's counterfeit is the very fake serial number prefix with a plant code "R" that so far has only been found in fake USA creed bags. GENUINE R plant codes were used by a Coach plant in Thailand from about 1999 to 2003.

I'm afraid I finally bought a fake!

"Strange" doesn't always mean fake. So far I've found a small straw mini hobo from a different Chinese plant but with exactly the same creed and Coach logo and a style number just a few numbers away, and a different bag but with a serial number font that matches another bag in my files from the same Chinese K plant as the bag in your photos. The smaller straw bag is sold but was listed by a well-known Ebay seller who has a strong record for selling genuine Coach and with more than 9,000 Feedbacks.

Everything I'm seeing tells me it's genuine and was made in 2000.

Comments: please authenticate, provide style number and approximate year made.
I was comfortable when I purchased but feel like I need confirmation now that I’ve received it. I’ve added a pic of the creed here. I think it’s better than the seller provided. Let md know if you need anything else. Thank you!

Here is the second bag from the city wide garage sales this past weekend!
Again Thank you for your time!

I don't authenticate newer styles, so you may have to post again in about a week when our other authenticators should be back from vacation. You don't need to make a new post, just wait until either @BeenBurned or @whateve are back, then use the REPLY button in your original post and ask for authentication.

Would you please authenticate this Daypack I purchased at the estate sale? It's around 9.5" x 7.5" x 5"
