Genuine and as you said, a Chrystie Bag style 9892 from around 1993

Genuine, and correct about the details.

Comments: I think I got had. Is this fake? When I checked out other photos of style 9326, they all had a signature lining. This one has a lining of black canvas. The creed looks weird, too.

Return it and insist on a full refund. Not only is the lining wrong, but so is the serial number font, and the date code is for 1996 which is 6 years before that style was even made.

The strap isn't the original one from what I can see. The Bag looks like it has brass-color hardware for the turnlock and the rings holding the top handle but the strap clips, buckle and the D-rings on the dowel that the strap attaches to are silver color. Look VERY closely at the photos, the colors don't look the same. I need to check a few more things but even if it turns out to be genuine it's not in original condition.

ETA - I think the Willis is genuine but the hardware somehow LOOKS different. Maybe it's just a trick of the lighting, or maybe the strap hardware was cleaned or polished but the bag's attached hardware wasn't. You may have to wait until you get it in front of you to be sure, but please compare the hardware colors when you receive the bag. It IS a genuine Willis bag made in 2005, I'm just not sure if that strap is the one that came with that bag.

Or maybe I'm just over-thinking this, it wouldn't be the first time. More opinions are welcome.

I think the entire bag has nickel hardware. It's just a lighting thing. I agree it is authentic.

Comments:
Can an Authenticator please take a look? This looks dodgy to me. The logo on the front appears too low to me and the creed looks a little wonky (The H looks bad). Also, no number — does every recent Coach have a number?

THANK YOU

I am not sure if my question should be for the authenticators or the rehab group. I believe I found a Coach bag made in the 1970s which has extensive tarnish on the brass. I don’t understand why the seller would clean and condition a purse but not remove the tarnish on the brass since the hardware should be solid brass, if it were truly made in the 1970s. What am I missing?
