Lol, the catalogue pic of 7783 was only a partial, so yes the full pic you have definitely shows they are different! I couldn't find any other posts with the 6155 style in it or internet searches. Thank you so much, Hyacinth!

The Italian-made bags are hard to find most of the time, and some buyers are nervous about vachetta just because of the color and because it changes color with use. I probably wouldn't want it as the only leather on a bag, but it makes a nice trim material, and I have several vachetta wallets too.

Hi! In process of rehab-ing this one. I showed some pictures when I bought it from eBay however the pictures were sucky. And you all were not able to identify style or fully authenticate. Here are some better photos. Authentic Stewardess bag? Cool note: The back of the buckles say "solid brass USA." If authentic, can you identify about when this bag might have been made? Thank you!

Genuine and from the mid 1980s. Nice find! Best of luck with the rehab.

Here's another question mark... https://shopgoodwill.com/item/138006288 Style 4445. I can find NO information online about this style, no visual examples, nothing else anywhere for sale, no history, nor have I ever seen a similar Coach bag. However, ****************** thinks it's legit. I did a search here on the forums and find no mention of the style number. To me, it looks like that "exploded reps" fabric. Please and thank you for an opinion on authenticity. (PS: I won the auction.) ETA: I didn't know it was not kosher to mention a different authentication company.

The bag is authentic.

The reason why the forum software stars out the company name is because the company probably demanded it of admin because there were unflattering posts about them.

It's genuine but I can't find a confirmable name for it. One listing calls it a Small Crossbody Handbag but that doesn't fit the kind of name Coach would have used in 2003 when it was made. It might have been made for the outlets, or just didn't make enough of an impact in the market to have left a paper trail almost 20 years after it was sold.

As for that authentication service, AFAIK apparently someone here posted a negative comment about them years ago and they demanded that their company's name never be mentioned at tPF again. So it hasn't been.

ETA - sniped.

Good morning Authenticators,
Please authenticate this Coach purse. I found no history of the seller on TPF.
Item: Patricia Legacy
Link: https://poshmark.com/listing/VTG-Coach-9951-Patricia-Legacy-Crossbody-61f84e0fbcbb522a8ec8bc14
Seller: lisaosnow
Thanks!
I don't authenticate Poshmark listings but lisaosnow has this fake currently listed for $189.

Keep in mind that a seller who mixes fakes and authentic items is even more dangerous than a seller who only sells fakes because they build a sense of trust among buyers who don't recognize that the seller doesn't so her homework.

Another authenticator might be willing to comment on the listing you're asking about.
