It's genuine but I can't tell when it was made or what Coach called it. The silver hardware like the chains holding the hangtags isn't original to the case. All the original hardware would have been brass-colored. The metal hangtag was also added by a previous owner.
You are awesome! Thanks for taking the time and educating us with vintage coach items. Appreciate you sharing your knowledge!

Good afternoon dear authenticators! A request to authenticate please. Thank you!

Hello Authenticators,
Please let me know if this purse is authentic. Also, the seller has it listed as black but it appears dark navy blue to me. Does the creed help you identify the color?
Item: Coach Stewardess
Seller: shop_jazzyjanns
Ebay Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/384707582945
Thanks.

It's a genuine Stewardess Bag style 9525 and made in the late 1980s.

No, there's no code in the creed or serial number that indicates the color. Bags made before 1994 have no production codes in them of any kind anyway. The color of the leather on the inside pocket is usually the best visual indication of what the actual color is, since it doesn't fade like the outside leather color can. Black and Navy in vintage bags could be very similar but the color of this one looks like Black to me.

Yikes. I can't see the serial number at all. Without it, all I can say is that it doesn't seem to be showing any red flags so there's a good chance that it's genuine but that's as far as I can go.

Thank you very much for your time and expertise Hyacinth! It almost looks like there was never a serial number. This bag does however look just like my other Wendies.

Hi: I bought these two bags (same listing) a while ago and neglected to get them authenticated. One of them is not working out for me so will probably try to sell it. But first I wanted to make sure they were both authentic. Thanks!

Both are genuine.
4906 - Medium Bucket Zip Natural Grain
4907 - Small Bucket Zip Natural Grain

Curious about this. Does the back of the turnlock jibe with an item like this?

turnlock key chain case

If it's real, it still looks like a challenge.

No, it doesn't. From the condition of the turnlock it looks like it's been on there since Day One, but Coach never used turnlocks with indentations like that on any classic or vintage items. Most of the turnlocks on those mini coin purse/keychain items had a turnlock design unique to the styles but that one in the photos wasn't it. It's fake. Any time you see any classic or vintage bag with an indented turnlock plate like that one, there's a very good chance it's fake. A very few may have had the Coach trunlock replaced for some reason with that indented style but almost all of them are fakes.

It also looks like the metals of the keyring and the chain it's on aren't quite the same color.

Thank you SO much, Hyacinth! I thought that turnlock looked wrong. I appreciate your confirmation.

Comments: seeking help to authenticate the bag as I notice the creed is different from those selling on the website. So, I have my doubt. thanks.

I can't see the creed photo but between the seller claiming that "it was a gift" and absolving herself of blame if it turns out to be fake, and the fact that the seller is in the Philippines which is one of the Top Three current sources for Coach fakes, I would STRONGLY advise you NOT to buy it. The second of the first 3 photos is stolen from another website, and the third photo doesn't even look like the second one, the leather tabs for the turnlocks are different and the turnlocks are in different positions.

Thanks Hyacinth and BeenBurned for authenticating and answering my questions. Just to ask for you opinion, which bag will be more valueable, the one made in US or Turkey?

We don't discuss value, and the Forum's Rules don't allow it. Resellers or buyers wanting to know what something will be worth in the future can research on Ebay to see what that style made in different countries has sold for.
