1- looks good but I don't know the name

2- genuine, from 1999, Legacy Small Zip

3- genuine Lexington Drawstring from 1998

4- FAKE. THIS is a font that you should be worried about.

5- "Penny" doesn't seem to be a valid Coach name. I haven't seen any examples of that name in any old literature or ad photos. We can't see the strap or strap mountings so there's no way to ID it, but whatever it is, it's genuine and made right around 1988.
Hyacinth, you sure do have sharp eyes. The font on #4 is so fuzzy! Are you speaking about the font in the upper part of the creed, or in the bottom style number portion? Or both?

Hi Authenticators,
Could you please check this large nylon travel bag for me? I attached some extra pictures for you. Thanks!!

Is this authentic?

I haven't seen that style before but I remember a whole bunch of fake styles about 12 years ago with that strange grayish "antique" color. That's not the color I remember Coach using for antiqued finishes.

There's no way I'd buy it without seeing what I knew was a genuine example, and I'd want to see the back of the charm on this one.

Thank you! I asked for a pic of the back. I'll let you know when the pic is up.

The font in the style number. Items made in the C and D plants during almost their entire production runs starting in 1994 through the early 2000 decade used the same VERY distinctive font and this one doesn't have it. It sticks out like a sore thumb from the genuine examples.

Here's a GENUINE "D" plant serial from early in 1999, the "overstamping" marks, lines and dots, above and below the serial digits aren't important in this case but they DO help prove it's genuine:
1999_D-plant-REAL-B9D-9966-b.jpg

and here's the fake:
M9D-9019-FAKE-dec17 2021-a.jpg

There were also some examples of a different genuine font between 1999 and 2001 that usually included an extra dash in the serial number, like this:
1999_D-plant_M9D- w extra hyphen-a.jpg

Serial number details are a critical part of authenticating Coach bags. There's a very good reason we insist on clear photos of those details.

Thanks. But I'd still need to see a genuine example, if anyone has one.
I found a photo of a genuine one, 92110. I'm still not happy with the color but that could just be normal variations in computer image colors. The first and third are Coach's drilldown pics which aren't much help.

Debby Downer chiming in, not to authenticate the horseshoe but to comment on the seller, demographic.

Although I'm not a Kate Spade expert, I do recognize obvious fakes and demographic has one.

Hi would you please authenticate this bag I purchased at the consignment shop? It's about 11" x 7" x 2.5"
Thank you

Even if the keychain is authentic, the seller didn't disclose the missing hang tag.

Good afternoon Authenticators

Item: Coach Whitney?
Where purchased or how obtained: Consignment shop in Toronto, On. I'm not sure exactly when but between 2000-2005
Comments: I'm wondering about authenticity and am curious how old it might be? The tarnish on the hardware makes me wonder....
