Yes, that's good. It's genuine and was made at one of Coach's US plants (that includes US territories, possessions, etc) in the late 1980s.

I'm new to them too. You don't see many in this thread, and I don't have any photos of the details. So I hope that one of the other authenticators can help. That creed bothers me.

BTW, does the top edge of the border around the creed actually look like the photo? What I'm seeing looks crooked.

There's a good source right here at tPF. Read the thread that's Pinned to the top of this subforum's index section and the Salearea Guides will tell you some of what you want to know. The links in the first 13 posts don't work any more but the rest of that thread does. And unlike many Coach "guides", the dates in the Salearea Guides are accurate.

Since I posted here, I stopped buying from Posh because I worried a lot if the items are authentic or not. This seller has been selling a lot of Coach bags. I know I'll not get a refund anymore because it's been some time already. But I would report the seller if I know she's selling fakes. Anyway, if you need any further pictures/information, I'd be most happy to provide them. I apologize in advance for asking about the same bag, and I wish you a good day!

Wow! You are very patient! The original post is from May 22! In the future, if you don't get a reply in 24-48 hours, bump your post. You don't have to wait 2.5 months!

I don't usually respond to Poshmark requests (nor recommend the site) for reasons that I've mentioned in the past, but I'll comment on this one.

Although I haven't seen this bag in person, I don't see any problems with the seller's own pictures in the listing. (christyfresh used stock images for the first 4 pictures and they're less than useful since they aren't the actual item. Additionally, using stock images is an infringement of Coach's intellectual property.)

I'm not comfortable with that creed and serial number. The X plant items from that period have a lot of differences in creeds and serials and more than their share of mistakes. This one's creed and serial don't match anything else in my files and there are too few photos of the bag itself for me to be comfortable authenticating it.

The only other possibly genuine X plant items I've seen from 1999 have been a handful of apparently genuine Stewardess Bags, all with the wrong creed description and with a different font used in the serial number. The stamping on the creed also seems problematic, like the badly squished "states" in the third line. There's just not enough there for me to authenticate. And there really aren't any helpful photos of the bag's details.

More opinions are welcome.

I believe it's fake too.

I have another 1999 X plant creed (different style but also L9X) that I have marked as fake that looks just like yours.

I'm also bothered by the crookedness of the stamping and the stitching around the patch.
