This is not a thread to ask general questions about COACH, please refer to our main Coach forum for such information.
  • Note that authenticators have the right to refuse any requests. This is a free service, but it is imperative that you help our authenticators by using the following format:

  • FOR ITEMS NOT LISTED ONLINE:
    Item:

  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.
Thank you and be safe!

ALL J8H- prefix serial numbers are fake. The plant code isn't valid. The seller probably already knows that which is probably why she doesn't have a photo of the creed in the listing and had to be asked for one.

There's a list of frequently-used fake serial numbers Called the Daria48 Fake Coach Numbers List right after the six Salearea Guides Pinned here in the Coach Shopping forum. I strongly advise everyone who hasn't read both the Salearea Guides and the Daria48 Fakes List already to do so, and remember where you found them so you can find them when you need them:

The Daria48 Fakes list includes that prefix, and the Salearea Guides explain WHY a Coach can't be authenticated just by the style numbers and ESPECIALLY NOT over the phone. And anyone who tries to do so including Coach employees are not only violating Coach company policy, but also lying through their teeth if they say they can authenticate anything that way. And the seller is also lying like a rug when she says anyone on a website or phone number can do it without even seeing the bag. Since the seller lied to you about the out-of-service phone number that she claims she called just that morning, the chances of her lying about everything else gets a lot stronger.

I've been authenticating here and at a very large selling site for 15 years and I had to see an actual photo of the serial number to be sure, although as I said, ANY bag with a serial number starting with J8H- is ALWAYS going to be fake. NO EXCEPTIONS.

I strongly advise not buying from that Facebook seller.

People are testing my PATIENCE today. 12 hours after I cancel the order she sends this. Apparently proud to be a scammer.
Buyers beware!!

PS I told her good for her but she sold a fake purse. Not today lady.

i even sent her the the exact page of the article you sent me, highlighted with the serial number and how it's fake. She was so stuck in the fact that 9993 was used in otherwise seemingly authentic bags that she would not listen to the fact that it was the J8H that was the problem. Purposely ignorant to make the sale while claiming to be an expert. Then she blocked me lol. Between the lying about authenticating it over the phone with a disconnected number, and then saying "ha ha I still sold it and for more" 12 HOURS LATER like hello who does that. I really needed to find my inner peace today lol. I feel bad for whomever gave her $80 :(

you guys are awesome thanks for letting me vent lol :)

Hey, no problem! We do it all the time. This is NOT a "vent-free Zone" especially when someone who's already lied at least once is bragging about cheating her buyers. Karma's a beetch.

Dear Authenticators,

Could someone authenticate and ID this bag? I found it at a thrift shop.

It’s 12” long X 9” tall X 5” deep

Any help gratefully appreciated!

One of my pet peeves is improper sentence and language structure or misspelled words. I’m not a school teacher but I had one who made sure we learned how to use correct tenses and grammar. Never would have I have written something like “I seen”!

Hello. I was wondering if someone could please authenticate this bag for me.

Item: Brooklyn Carryall 28

Seller and site: RubyCrystal on Tokopedia ( https://tokopedia.link/8Ca3IvlTPgb )

Comments: the seller said this bag was bought in the US, coach retail store. I asked for creed and made in tags pictures but I’m confused whether it’s authentic or not bcs the difference between serial number on price tag (F56839) and the creed (56839, without F)

One of my pet peeves is the over usage of lol. Could you imagine if we talked like that? Or even if we really lol'd when speaking? If we giggled every few words or actually said lol every few words? Try it, it sounds so dumb.
