I'm not seeing anything wrong but I can't say it is authentic without more pictures. I'd like to see the made in tag from the inside. I never use price as a sign of authenticity. Maybe she got it as a gift or used it enough that she already got her money's worth.

Seller responded: " clear tag made in vietnam could not get a good pic " - and did not post anymore pictures.

hm... I got so many fakes recently (not Coach) that I'm very hesitant to try my luck with this one even though it is not a lot of money for this one .. it adds up unfortunately.

Good Morning Authenticators,
Can you help me with this Taft? I've been eyeing it but It seems off...quality, color, and creed is hard to read.

Item: Taft bag T6F-9980
Listing number:
Seller and site where listed: Tifftreats/ Mercari
Link:
Comments: I searched your site for this seller and the serial number-the same serial was flagged in the hall of shame by a different seller but the link to the photo is gone. Thank you in advance!

I'm surprised etsy would pull it as fake. I didn't think they were too proactive about that. The bag is authentic. Are you sure they didn't pull it for not being vintage? It's a beautiful bag.
Thanks whateve.
I didn’t list as vintage, only said “near vintage “
I attached a screen shot of part of the email Etsy sent to me. Someone for some reason must reported this bag,

Wow! That's my first time EVER seeing that Etsy has removed a listing for (supposedly) being counterfeit! And the one time they did it, they did it to an absolutely authentic item!

But as for sellers who list something as "near vintage" (or items that are only a few years old) on Etsy is a personal pet peeve of mine. IMO, "near vintage" would be something with possibly just a few months from being vintage but certainly not 4 years. And per etsy's rules, "Vintage items must be at least 20 years old. Click here to learn more about vintage items on Etsy." Since they're a site for handmade and vintage, near vintage items shouldn't be sold there, IMO.

I'm not sure how to appeal the ding on your account but even if they accept that it's not fake, I wouldn't relist it there until 2025.
