BASIC PICTURES REQUIRED (but more may be requested): If necessary pictures are in the listing, it's not necessary to upload and duplicate them.
  • Front of item
  • Back of item
  • Full clear and legible creed text and serial number
  • Made in tags (when available)
  • Measurements
  • For bags with turnlock closures, show pictures of back of female side of turnlock
  • For bags with magnetic snaps, show pictures of the male part of the snap so that the numbers and letters on it can be read
  • If applicable, search interior of bag and/or pockets for small white tag with production information and include a picture of that.

Thank you very much Hyacinth, yes seller probably think 1970s can sell for better price, but would be better if she could list it correctly as Plaza, lol... I am ok with that, not a steal still not bad price for a Plaza I think.

Welcome to tPF!

Just to emphasize this because it's really important - you CAN'T "put in serial number to validate". A serial number by itself can never prove a Coach is authentic. It can sometimes prove a bag is fake when the details and codes in the serial number don't match the bag, but don't ever EVER EVER assume something's genuine because it has the same serial number as another bag. Why wouldn't fakes makers put accurate serial numbers in their fakes? The smart professional ones usually don't skip important details like that. Stop wasting your time searching for numbers that mean nothing and can actually lead you to buy fakes.

Please read the READ ME post at the top of each page in this thread for posting instructions and for the information we require. We DO require information about where the item was purchased if it's been recent enough so that the selling website, if it was bought online, still has the listing available to view. In that case we need the URL.

Then read the thread that includes the six Salearea Coach Guides that explain some details about spotting fake Coaches and why a lot of info on the Internet about Coach authenticity is totally wrong. Reading the entire thread is the least expensive education about Coach, real and fake, that you'll ever get.

SaleArea guides

Now that ebay is removing the guides they've been hosting for years, those who use those guides have been forced to either save them on their computers or print them. Tonight I found that the Salearea guides (including the Hyacinth/Salearea collaboration ones) have been saved to Salearea's...

Sorry, the listing isn't working. I can see the main page but can't navigate it at all, I don't even know what month or year the bag was made although I'm guessing maybe 1998-99?. But if it's a Mexico bag I doubt very much if it's Bottle Green, that color was from the early 1990s.

I hope someone else can help.

I only have 2 catalogs from 1999 and it's not in either one of them. The only color that even comes close is dark gray.

And for some reason, other Etsy links aren't working for me either. Outdated browser gremlins, probably.

Wait for someone who can help.

looks too dark for Loden to me. I have two loden bags I can put up in the vintage thread if you want to see.

I can't help with the color but the listing works for me and the bag is authentic, made in 1999.

hmm...I thought both of mine were loden...because when I bought the pocket zip it was listed as loden and its the same as the legacy zip. Whe I get home I will post a pick and everone can give their opinion.

You're correct, it's a genuine Binocular Bag style 9853 made between 1990 and 1992.

Style 9948 ha a turnlock and is a few years newer, and was called, depending on the year, either a Nottingham or a Canterbury Bag.
